 Arc Summer Day Camp Schedule

Utica, NY— The Arc, Oneida Lewis Chapter, NYSARC announces the summer schedule for the Charles B. Wolkon Memorial Day Camp in Frankfort and Pinti Field in Rome. It is slated to open the week of June 30 and run for eight weeks–two weeks for children and six weeks for adults.

Kid’s Camp:

June 30 through July 4 for children at Pinti Field (Rome) in partnership with the City of Rome

August 11-15 for children at Charles B. Wolkon Day Camp in Frankfort

Adult Camp:

June 30 – July 3; July 7-11; July 14-18; July 21-25; and July 28-August 8

The Arc's day camp has provided a safe place for individuals with developmental disabilities to relax and have fun every summer since 1969. For children and adults with special needs, the summer day camp is the only opportunity they might have to enjoy a vacation.

Activities include arts and crafts, a pool table, ping-pong, foosball, basketball, hiking, volleyball, karaoke and fishing. A new recreational pavilion was built last year. This year a new deck was added off of the pavilion. The camp is staffed by a full time camp director and trained counselors and an LPN.

The Arc receives some funding for the camp from Operation Sunshine.

For more information call Victoria Hillebrand at 272-1589 for Adult camp and Lisa Cushman at
