Speech Pathologists, Physical and Occupational Therapists

Specialized Recreation Aides
– Rome, Utica and Lowville locations. High School diploma or GED, some
experience working with children. PT, Saturday and early evening
hours. Provide supervision to children and teens with intellectual
and developmental disabilities in a recreation setting.

College Works |
Administrative Assistant
– Oneida County,
College Works: Handles daily business functions of College Works,
including working cooperatively with outside businesses, other Human
Service Agencies and other divisions within The Arc Oneida – Lewis
Chapter NYSARC. Must be fluent in the use of computer business
software, including Microsoft Works, Office, Excel and Access. Must
be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Requires
the ability to work independently and to prioritize work tasks. Must
be able to maintain confidentiality, both of student information and
identity and staff personal issues. High School diploma and 1 year
office experience. Proven proficiency in Microsoft Works, Office,
Access, and Excel. Ability to type at a satisfactory rate.
Physical ability to lift 30 lbs.

Community and Family Services: |
|
Respite
Specialist –
FT, awake
overnights, Fri –Sun, Respite Care Home. Provide management of the
day to day operations of the home and supervision.

Respite
Specialist
– Oneida County, Per Diem, evening and weekend hours, High school diploma/GED, valid NYS
drivers license with clean driving record. Provides planning and
leadership for weekly recreational program for small groups of
participants with developmental disabilities. Provide management of
the day to day operations of the home; supervision of the program
participants day to day activities, socialization, recreations.

Registered Nurse
– 5 hours
a week, Utica. Providing medical oversight to individuals with
intellectual and developmental disabilities in a Respite program.
Current licensure as an RN.

Habilitation Specialist 1
–
Per diem hours, Oneida & Lewis Counties, diploma/GED, NY State driver’s
license, and 6 months experience or CNA training required. Provide
daily living skills training/supervision to individuals with
disabilities to the extent required by their Individual Services Plan,
while promoting personal choice and independence. This training
and/or supervision will take place in whatever setting is deemed
appropriate under the guidelines of the plan, which has been developed
with the assistance of the individual.

Clinical Habilitation Coordinator
– Oneida
County, Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, valid NYS driver’s
license. FT. Act as a member of the Community and Family Services
Division staff with responsibility to oversee the Clinical needs and
services of the Day Habilitation and Residential Habilitation
programs.

, day hours, high school diploma/GED, valid NYS
driver’s license. Assists in the implementation of the person’s
ISP/Day Habilitation Plan by providing direct care, training, and
supervision to the extent required by utilizing as many community
based resources and supports as appropriate to the plan.

individuals with disabilities on work skills in the community.

Community Assistant
– Utica, Responsible for assisting the program Community Coordinator
with providing and supervising community experiences and internships
on and off campus for students enrolled in the College Works
program. Includes student assessments, job development activities
for unpaid experiences and individualized job coaching. Associate’s
Degree in Human Services or related and/or three years experience in
community based employment program for individuals with
disabilities.

Employment Specialist
– FT, Oneida County, flexible schedule, Responsible for the provision of employment
supports to individuals with disabilities to help them identify and
meet their vocational needs, maximizing their independence and
utilizing all of the resources in the community available to them.
Bachelor's degree required and one year experience in vocational
rehabilitation program. Must have acceptable driver's license,
personal vehicle and willingness to transport self and consumers, if
needed.

Residential: |
|
Program Manager
– Oneida County, FT, Bachelor’s degree in Human Services with 1-3
yrs exp. and valid NY State driver’s license. Overall
responsibility for the health and safety of the individuals,
responsible for the effective and efficient physical and social
operation of the residence and responsible for the development of
positive relationships with neighbors, local businesses, and other
service providers. |
Residential Direct Care
– Full time, Part time and Per diem, Oneida and Lewis Counties,
diploma/GED, driver’s license required. To ensure the health and
safety of the individuals, the effective and efficient physical and
social operation of the residence, during their assigned hours.

Service Coordinator
– FT,
Oneida County, flexible schedule, Bachelor’s Degree in Human
Services, valid NYS driver’s license. To work with an individual
with developmental disabilities and his/her family to promote the
capacity of those involved to identify their needs and to procure
resources in a manner that will enable them to acquire competency to
rely on their own resources and abilities.

Floating Workshop
Supervisor
– FT, day hours Utica. High school diploma, experience in an
industrial setting. Provide oversight to adults with intellectual
and developmental disabilities in a workshop setting.

Benefit Highlights
Full-Time Employees
PAID TIME OFF:
Sick Time- One day or
seven hours per month beginning the first of the month following one full
month of full-time employment. You will accrue 12 days per year with max.
of 90 days (630 hours).
Holidays- Eight paid
holidays per year, and three floating holidays.
Vacation- After
completing six months of employment, all non-exempt full-time
employees will be awarded one of vacation time (5 days or 35 hours). The
first three years of employment, the employee will accrue two weeks per
year or 70 hours. 3-5 years three weeks per year or 105 hours and 5(+)
four weeks per year or 140 hours. Exempt employees will accrue at three
week per year for the first three years, and then increase to four weeks.
Personal Leave Days-
Twenty one hours of paid personal leave time per year to be used for
taking care of personal matters and to be arranged in advance- except in
cases of emergency.
INSURANCES:
Health Insurance-
Full-time employees may elect to choose one of the following plans (all
plans require a partial contribution by the employee per pay period):
*Mohawk Valley Physician’s Health Plan –MVP (HMO)
* CDPHP (HMO)
Employee + Spouse, Employee + Child(ren) and Family coverage are extra on
all offered plans.
Dental Insurance – Full time and part time employees may elect dental
coverage which requires contributions by the employee per pay period.
Offers 100% Preventive Coverage and 50% Basic Coverage ($50 deductible).
Special Diseases Insurance
Premium Conversion Account- employees can elect to pay for their portion of
the health and dental insurance premiums before taxes are taken from their
pay.
Co-paid (life insurance) Company paid life and accidental death and
dismemberment insurance- Thru Mutual of Omaha, $10,000 – 100% Agency paid.
Term and whole life insurance- available at group rates.
Long Term Disability Insurance- A voluntary insurance plan available to
employees through a payroll deduction. Employees must work at least 18
hours per week and make at least $12, 000 per year.
Short Term Disability- A voluntary insurance plan available to employees
through payroll deduction. Employees must work at least 18 hours per week.
FLEXIBLE SPENDING ACCOUNTS:
Health Care Reimbursement Account- Employees are able to set aside a
pre-established amount of tax dollars from their pay, before taxes, to cover
medical and or dental expenses not covered through any health plans.
Dependent Care Reimbursement Account- Employees, requiring day care
services, are able to set aside a pre-established amount of dollars form
their pay, before taxes, to pay for day care expenses.
OTHER:
Pension and Annuity Plans – Thru Equitable
Tuition Assistance- All full time and part time (18 hrs per week) are
eligible to apply for this benefit after completing 1 year of
employment. This benefit reimburses the employee 50% up to $460 per course,
max. of 2 courses per semester, 3 semesters per year. The courses taken
must be in some way related to the employee’s job.
Agency Provided In-service and Training
Longevity Award – Presented to regular employees in five year service
intervals in accordance with their anniversary date.
Referral Award- Presented to regular employees who refer an acceptable
applicant who is hired into a regular position and remains as same for a
period no less than six months. The referring employee must also remain
regularly employed.
