Entry Level

Hospital Sitter - per diem - High School Diploma, GED or CNA or a combination of education, training and experience. North and South. The Hospital Sitter remains with the patient to provide observation and support. The Hospital Sitter provides direct supervision and frequent safety checks on patients identified as high risk for safety issues such as elopement, choking, falls, wandering, self-injury, confusion, removal of medical supports such as oxygen, IVs, NG tubes, catheters etc. and responds accordingly.

Direct Support Specialist - RS and DS Lewis County - FT, IRA and Turin Day Hab, M-F 6am - 9am Summit, 9am - 2:30pm Turin Day Hab. High School Diploma or GED and valid Driver's Licence and at least 6 months of Direct Support Professional experience. Provide assistance and supervision of individual's day to day activities, socialization, recreation, and daily living skiills development.

Senior Workshop Supervisor - Precise - FT M-F SOUTH. High School Diploma/GED. 3 years experience in industry. Responsible for assisting the Vocational Trainer and Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor in the provision of training program participants through the implementation of their individualized programmatic valued outcomes.

Respite Specialist - FT M-F Arnold Ave. High school diploma/GED, valid NYS driver's licence with clean driving record. The Respite Specialist will provide respite for family members of individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities. This respite srevice may take place in the community or at a site-based program. Will demonstrate professional conduct to include compassion, dignity, and respect when interacting with other staff, family and individuals.

Residental Managers/Counselors - Full and Part time, Oneida and Lewis Counties, Variety of shifts including early mornings, evenings, split shifts (AM & PM), awake-overnights and weekends/holidays. Staff will ensure the health and safety of the people we support including personal care and assist in the effective and efficient physical and social operation of the residence during their assigned hours. Requires a High School diploma/GED, and a valid NYS driver’s license with an acceptable driving abstract.

Direct Support Specialist - Oneida Co, FT/PT Shared position with Residential Services and Day Services programs for specific programs/houses. HSD/GED and six months of documented direct support experience, a valid NYS driver’s license with an acceptable driving abstract and the ability to obtain and maintain Medication Certification and FA/CPR certifications.. Provide assistance and supervision of the individual’s day-to-day activities, socialization, recreation and daily living skills development in both programs.

Awake Overnight Shift Supervisor - FT, Thurs-Mon, 10:30pm - 7:30am, Oneida County. High School Diploma/GED and 3 yrs of experience as a Direct Support Professional, Residence Manager or equivalent experience. Valid NYS Drivers License with an acceptabe driving abstract. Under direction of the Associate Director of Residential Services ensures the Residence Counselors or other Direct Support Professionals on the awake overnight shifts are trained and working in accordance to their job descriptions to include site specific awake overnight responsibilities.

Habilitation Specialist – Full Time, Per-Diem and part time, Oneida and Lewis Counties, High School Diploma/GED and experience with individuals with developmental disabilities or specialized training in related field, and a clean valid NY State driver’s license with an acceptable drivers abstract. The staff member is responsible to provide individuals with developmental disabilities with training and supervision to the extent required by their Individual Services Plan (ISP). This training and supervision will take place in whatever setting is deemed appropriate under the guidelines of the plan, which has been developed with the individual.

Day Habilitation Specialist I - FT Marcy & Rome, day hours. High School Diploma/GED and a valid NYS driver’s license with an acceptable driving abstract. Staff will assist in the implementation of the person’s ISP/Day Habilitation plan by providing direct care, training, and supervision to the extent required by utilizing as much community based resources and supports as appropriate to the plan.

Senior Workshop Supervisor / CDL Class A Truck Driver - FT, Oneida County, M-F 8:30am - 4pm. High School Diploma/GED. One year supervisory experience, or one year factory experience. 1-3 yrs of general work exp. CDL Class A license with 1yr+ commercial driving exp preferred. Primarily responsible for supervising production of designated amounts of work in a designated time period. Duties similar to that of an industrial foreman in an industrial setting. Secondarily responsible for the transport, driving and delivery of product.

Floating Workshop Supervisor - FT, Days, Utica. High school diploma/GED. One year supervisory experience or one year factory experience. Clean NYS driver's licence. The floor supervisor of a particular work/training area directly supervising the program participants for work performance and Prevocational reinforcement and non-handicapped relief workers assigned to them. This position is similar to that of a foreman in an industrial setting. The person is responsible for supervising production of designated amounts of work in a designated time periods. S/he is also the first line problem solver for people we support assigned to the work area.

Maintenance Mechanic -FT, days, Oneida County, Coordinates and implements the day to day maintenance/basic renovation of the agency’s building and production equipment. High school diploma and two to four years experience in the building trade field. A thorough working knowledge of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, welding, masonry, painting and roofing fields.

Corporate Compliance/Quality Assurance Director - FT, Flexible, Oneida County. A 4 year degree from an accredited college or university (QIDP). A minimum of 5 years experience in the field of Human Services. Function as a member of the Residential Services Administrative Team with responsibility for assuring the corporate compliance and quality assurance processes within the division. Requires the ability to work independently with accuracy.

Employment Counselor - FT, Utica, M-F, may include nights and weekends. Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, 2 years experience working with people with disabilities or Associate's Degree in Human Services with 3 years experience. Responsible for provision of employment supports to people with disabilities. Such services include clinical rehabilitation evaluations, assesments, and counseling as needed to assist people we support identify and meet their vocational goals.

Accounts Receivable Manager - FT, South, M-F Days Utica. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field with 3-4 years experience, Working knowledge of billing types inclusive but not limited to Medicaid, OPWDD, SED and third party insurance. This position is responsible for the oversight and process of the billing function. The Sr. Accounts Receivable Clerk reports to this position. The primary goal is to bill funding sources within regulated time restrictions for services, receive and post payments, and record and reconcile billing data on a monthly basis. This accounting work involves an in depth understanding of the billing requirements and internal processes, as well as the ability to understand and flollow generally accepted accounting principles in the reconciliation, review and reporting of the various general ledger accounts that relate to the function. An understanding of agency, human resource, and department policies and procedures is required to fulfill this function.

Program Director - Day Services FT, Oneida Co, days. Requires a bachelor degree in human services with QIDP status, proven professional level leadership experience in a developmental disabilities program (one year). Will be responsible for the direction and day to day operation of Day Habilitation services for persons with intellectual/developmental disabilities.

Service Coordinator - FT, Oneida County, flexible schedule. Bachelor's Degree in health or human services field, or Bachelor's Degree in a non health or human service field with a minimum of 20 college credits in health or human services. 1 year experience working with people with developmental disabilities, or 1 year experience as a service coordinator/case manager with any population. The minimum experience level does not have to be met with a Master's degree in a health or human services field. A clean valid NY State driver’s license with an acceptable drivers abstract is required. Will work with individuals with developmental disabilities to promote self-advocacy and informed choice, assist to identify the needs and goals of individuals with developmental disabilities and to procure resources in a manner that will enable them to acquire competency to rely on their own resources and abilities.

Employment Specialist - FT, Oneida and Lewis County, flexible schedule. Bachelor’s degree required and one year experience in vocational rehabilitation program. Bachelor's Degree, minimum of 1 year experience working with people with disabilites; or Associates Degree, minimum of 2 years experience working with people with disabilites; or High School Diploma, minimum of 3 years experience working with people with disabilites. Must have acceptable driver’s license, personal vehicle and willingness to transport self and consumers, if needed. Responsible for the provision of employment supports to individuals with disabilities to help them identify and meet their vocational needs, maximizing their independence and utilizing all of the resources in the community available to them.

Temporary Program Manager (Lewis County) - FT Flexible Schedule, Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field and one year experience working with DD population, QIDP status. A clean valid NYS Driver's license. Overall responsibility for the health and safety of the individuals, responsible for the efficient physical and social operation of the residence and responsible for the development of positive releationships with neighbors, local businesses and other service providers. Oversee the staff in the implementation of the Individualized Service Plan.

Licensed

Registered Nurse - FT, Oneida County, New York State Licensure as a registered professional nurse. Specializd training or one year experience in working with persons with developmental disabilities preferred. Valid NYS drivers licence. To ensure the supervision and provision of nursing services to the people we support at program site. Responsible for the implementation of medical policies and procedure within assigned sites and in accordance with Arc and OPWDD regulations.

LPN - Residential Services - FT, Oneida and Lewis County - Flexible Hours. Must hold valid certification as a Licensed Practical Nurse within New York State. Experience working with people with developmental disabilities preferred. Must have the ability to become First Aid and CPR certified and other necessary trainings to assist at the Residence. Must be able to pass medications at Residence. Must have a valid, acceptable NYS driver's license. To assist the Residential Services Registered Nurse/Program Coordinator in providing the day to day oversight and health care for the people we support in Residential Services. Follows the Agency's Core Values and Mission statements.

Speech Language Pathologist – FT, days, Oneida County. Master’s Degree in Speech Therapy or Speech Pathology, Permanent Certification as a Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped. One year experience in the evaluation and treatment of children with communication disorders in the Birth to School-Aged population. Valid NYS drivers license. To provide intervention and evaluation of speech and language disorders to those children who are identified in need of speech therapy services. Provides direct speech therapy intervention to those children who are assigned to clinician’s caseload. Evaluates and completes annual evaluations.
