Entry Level

Residential Managers/Counselors – Full and Part time, Oneida and Lewis Counties, High School diploma/GED. Must possess a valid NYS driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. Variety of shifts including mornings,: evenings, split shifts (AM & PM), overnights and weekends. Staff will ensure the health and safety of the people we support including personal care and assist in the effective and efficient physical and social operation of the residence during their assigned hours.

Sr. Accounts Receivable Clerk – FT, Utica, day hours. The following qualifications are the minimum requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of the job: High school diploma, 2 years related experience or related AS degree and 1 year experience. Working knowledge of billing function and third party insurance preferred.  Working knowledge of spreadsheet applications, calculator and office machines is required. Assists in maintaining functions within the Financial Management Division of the Agency.  Primary responsibilities revolve around performing daily billing duties in Accounts Receivable. In addition this position is the main backup for the department’s Financial Management Clerk position and performs data entry for payroll as necessary. PENDING

Community SpecialistFT, days, Utica. Associate Degree in human services or related field preferred, or high school diploma or GED with specialized training, or year of experience in working with persons with developmental disabilities, or in an educational setting, or in a health care facility. Assists in the implementation of the person’s ISP/Day Habilitation Plan by planning, providing and documenting community integration experiences utilizing as many community based resources and supports as appropriate to the plan; assists in providing direct care, training and supervision to the extent required.

Day Habilitation Specialist I – FT, days, Marcy. H.S. diploma/GED and valid NYS drivers license. Ensures implementation of the person’s ISP/Day Habilitation Plan by providing direct care, training, and supervision to the extent required by utilizing as many community based resources and supports as appropriate to the plan.

Day Habilitation Specialist I – FT, days, Turin. H.S. diploma/GED and valid NYS drivers license. Ensures implementation of the person’s ISP/Day Habilitation Plan by providing direct care, training, and supervision to the extent required by utilizing as many community based resources and supports as appropriate to the plan.

Day Habilitation Specialist I – per-diem, days, Turin.. H.S. diploma/GED and valid NYS drivers license. Ensures implementation of the person’s ISP/Day Habilitation Plan by providing direct care, training, and supervision to the extent required by utilizing as many community based resources and supports as appropriate to the plan. 

Community Development Specialist – FT, M-F 245 Genesee St Utica, NY. High School Diploma and 3-5 years of experience in community development, administration or management (communications or business is preferred). Provides administrative support in the Community Development (CD) department in conjunction with the department director and staff.  Knowledgeable in computer applications, including Windows, Microsoft Office and Outlook.  Performs data entry using Excel and DonorPerfect (fundraising software). Exhibits judgment in organization and prioritization of work load.  Works independently, interacts with various publics and performs a variety of tasks related to special projects, public relations and communications. Must have a valid NY State driver’s license. Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Word, Excel and Outlook). Excellent written and oral communication skills. Knowledge of Oneida and Lewis Counties, particularly communities in the Mohawk Valley area is desirable. Ability to communicate effectively.  Ability to interact with various publics and a diverse workforce and work effectively as part of a team. Ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate specific needs.

Bachelor Degree

CW Career Specialist – FT, flexible schedule, Bachelor degree and some sales experience. Valid NYS drivers license.Responsible for the provision of employment supports to individuals with disabilities to help them identify and meet their vocational needs, maximizing their independence and utilizing all of the resources in the community available to them. Must be able to work effectively with the general public. Caseload will consist of specifically College Works Graduates.  Requires the ability to work independently and to make informed decisions in the best interest of the individuals in the program.  Must have a working vehicle and agree to transport individuals, as needed to worksites.

Employment Specialist – FT, flexible schedule, Bachelor degree and some sales experience. Valid NYS drivers license. Responsible for the provision of employment supports to individuals with disabilities to help them identify and meet their vocational needs, maximizing their independence and utilizing all of the resources in the community available to them. 

Licensed

Registered Nurse (Day and Residential Services)- FT, flexible schedule, Oneida County. Current NYS licensure as an RN, valid NYS drivers license and 1 year exp working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.  Provide the day to day oversight and coordination of health care for people who reside with The Arc and who attend Arc day programs.  Responsible for the implementation of medical policies and procedures within both programs and in accordance with agency and OPWDD regulations. Speech Language Pathologist – FT, day hours, Office setting Utica. Master’s Degree in Speech Therapy or Speech Pathology, Permanent Certification as a Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped.  1 yr exp in the evaluation and treatment of children with communication disorders in the Birth to School-Aged population. To provide intervention and evaluation of speech and language disorders to those children who are identified in need of speech therapy services.  Provides direct speech therapy intervention to those children who are assigned to clinician’s caseload. Evaluates and completes annual evaluations.

Director of Clinical Solutions FT, Licensed Clinical Social Worker with current licensure in New York State; and minimum five years experience in working with persons with intellectual/developmental disabilities and/or mental health; two of which must include supervision. Valid NYS drivers license and ability to drive agency vehicle and travel between sites.  Provide oversight and coordination of agency wide clinical supports to ensure a seamless provision of services provided at The Arc, Oneida-Lewis; focusing on the overall health and well-being of the individuals supported by The Arc, regardless of program or services. Develop, direct, guide and provide oversight to various clinical disciplines to create a clinical team which will focus on the overall healthcare needs of the people receiving services from The Arc.

Program LPN (Day Services) – FT M-F 8:30AM – 4:00 PM Gore RD Rome, NY. New York State Licensure as Licensed Practical Nurse. Specialized training or one year experience working with persons with developmental disabilities preferred. Must be able to transfer and position people we support and manipulate equipment such as wheelchairs and special lifts. General Statement of Duty is to assist in the provision of nursing services to the people we support at program site.
