Residental Managers/Counselors – Full and Part time, Oneida and Lewis Counties, Variety of shifts including early mornings, evenings, split shifts (AM & PM), awake-overnights and weekends/holidays. Staff will ensure the health and safety of the people we support including personal care and assist in the effective and efficient physical and social operation of the residence during their assigned hours. Requires a High School diploma/GED, and a valid NYS driver’s license with an acceptable driving abstract.
Direct Support Specialist – Oneida Co, FT/PT Shared position with Residential Services and Day Services programs for specific programs/houses. HSD/GED and six months of documented direct support experience, a valid NYS driver’s license with an acceptable driving abstract and the ability to obtain and maintain Medication Certification and FA/CPR certifications.. Provide assistance and supervision of the individual’s day-to-day activities, socialization, recreation and daily living skills development in both programs.
Habilitation Specialist – Full Time, Per-Diem and part time, Oneida and Lewis Counties, High School Diploma/GED and experience with individuals with developmental disabilities or specialized training in related field, and a clean valid NY State driver’s license with an acceptable drivers abstract. The staff member is responsible to provide individuals with developmental disabilities with training and supervision to the extent required by their Individual Services Plan (ISP). This training and supervision will take place in whatever setting is deemed appropriate under the guidelines of the plan, which has been developed with the individual.
Respite Specialist – FT- Oneida County. Respite Care Home, Weekends (Fri-Sun), HSD/GED, and a valid NYS driver’s license with an acceptable driving abstract. Respite Specialist will provide respite for family members of the people we support. This respite service will take place at the respite residence. Staff will demonstrate professional conduct to include compassion, dignity, and respect when interacting with the people we support, other staff and families.
Respite Specialist – FT- Oneida County. Community/Arnold Ave. M – F, 2:15 – 10pm The Respite Specialist will provide respite for family members of individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities. This respite service will take place in the community. Staff will demonstrate professional conduct to include compassion, dignity, and respect when interacting with the people we support, other staff and family. Requires a High School diploma/GED, and a valid NYS driver’s
Day Habilitation Specialist I – FT Marcy, Turin & Rome, days. High School Diploma/GED and a valid NYS driver’s license with an acceptable driving abstract. Staff will assist in the implementation of the person’s ISP/Day Habilitation plan by providing direct care, training, and supervision to the extent required by utilizing as much community based resources and supports as appropriate to the plan.
Awake Overnight Shift Supervisor -FT, Thurs–Mon, 10:30pm – 7:30am, Oneida County. High School Diploma/GED and 3 yrs. of experience as a Direct Support Professional, Residence Manager or equivalent experience. Valid NYS Drivers License with an acceptable driving abstract. Under direction of the Associate Director of Residential Services ensures the Residence Counselors or other Direct Support Professionals on the awake overnight shifts are trained and working in accordance to their job descriptions to include site specific awake overnight responsibilities.
Floating Workshop Supervisor – FT, days, Utica. HS diploma/GED, valid NYS drivers license. One year supervisory experience or one year factory experience. The floor supervisor of a particular work/training area directly supervising the program participants for work performance and Prevocational reinforcement and non-handicapped relief workers assigned to them.
Recruiter – FT, Oneida and Lewis Counties. Possession of an associate’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in business, public or personnel administration, or any other related field, 3 years experience in recruitment, screening, interviewing and selecting candidates for employment. To work in conjunction with other HR Staff to ensure the efficient and smooth operation of the Human Resources Department. Requires considerable judgement to work independently toward general results. Moderately difficult clerical work requiring an understanding of rules, procedures and policies. Must be flexible and skilled enough to accept and handle the varied and numerous personnel tasks of the Agency. Must be able to maintain confidentiality of staff personnel information and issues.
Employment Counselor – FT, Oneida County, M-F, Bachelors Degree in the field of Education, Psychology, Human Services or related fields, or certification which meets the QIDP guidelines. Two (2) years experience working with people who are developmentally disabled. Specialized training in the Human service field may be substituted for one (1) year experience. Responsible for provision of employment supports to people with disabilites. Such services include clinical rehabilitation evaluations, assesments, and counseling as needed to assist people we support identify and meet their vocational goals. Also responsible for assisting with production demands including visiting offsites such as NickleBack redemption and heading structured rehabilitation on both the clinical and production side. May include but not limited to providing job skill training and shadowing as well as classroom based instruction focusing on vocational preparation.
Employment Specialist – FT, Oneida County flexible schedule. Bachelor’s degree required and one year experience in vocational rehabilitation program. or Associates Degree and a minimum of two years experience working with people with disabilites; or High School Diploma and a minimum of three years experience working with people with disabilites. Must have valid NYS driver’s license with an acceptable driving abstract, a personal vehicle and willingness to transport self and consumers, if needed. Responsible for the provision of employment supports to individuals with disabilities to help them identify and meet their vocational needs, maximizing their independence and utilizing all of the resources in the community available to them.
Service Coordinator – FT, Oneida County, flexible schedule. Bachelor’s degree in health or human services. Requires a valid NYS drivers license with an acceptable driving record.. To work with an individual with developmental disabilities and his/her family to promote the capacity of those involved to identify their needs and to procure resources in a manner that will enable them to acquire competency to rely on their own resources and abilities.
LPN – Day Services – FT, Oneida County Arnold Ave, MF 8:30am – 4:00pm. New York State Licensure as Licensed Practical Nurse. Specialized training or one year experience working with persons with developmental disabilities preferred. Must be able to transfer and position people we support and manipulate equipment such as wheelchairs and special lifts. To assist Program RN in the provision of nursing services to the people we support at program site.
LPN – Residential Services – FT, Oneida and Lewis County – Flexible Hours. Must hold valid certification as a Licensed Practical Nurse within New York State. Experience working with people with developmental disabilities preferred. Must have the ability to become First Aid and CPR certified and other necessary trainings to assist at the Residence. Must be able to pass medications at Residence. Must have a valid, acceptable NYS driver’s license. To assist the Residential Services Registered Nurse/Program Coordinator in providing the day to day oversight and health care for the people we support in Residential Services. Follows the Agency’s Core Values and Mission statements.
Registered Nurse – FT, Lewis County. Flexible, Valid NYS license as a Registered Nurse (RN or BSN); Specialized training or one year experience in working with persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred. Must be able to transfer and position people we support and manipulate equipment such as wheelchairs. Valid NYS driver’s license with an acceptable driver’s abstract. To ensure the supervision and provision of nursing services to the people we support at program sites. Responsible for the implementation of medical policies and procedure within assigned sites and in accordance with Arc and OPWDD regulations.
Speech Language Pathologist – FT, days, Oneida County. Master’s Degree in Speech Therapy or Speech Pathology, Permanent Certification as a Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped. One year experience in the evaluation and treatment of children with communication disorders in the Birth to School-Aged population. Valid NYS drivers license. To provide intervention and evaluation of speech and language disorders to those children who are identified in need of speech therapy services. Provides direct speech therapy intervention to those children who are assigned to clinician’s caseload. Evaluates and completes annual evaluations.
