Entry Level Positions - Require a High School Diploma/GED and a clean valid NY State Drivers License with an acceptable drivers abstract. The positions may require a full range of body motion with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Direct Support Specialist I - Oneida & Lewis Co, FT and PT positions in Residential Services and Day Services programs. Hours may include a combination of early mornings/days or days/evenings. Specific training (CNA, HHA) or some experience preferred, and the ability to obtain First Aid/CPR and SCIP-R certifications. Medication Certification may be required pending program needs. Staff will provide assistance and supervision of the individual's day-to-day activities, socialization, recreation and daily living skills development in both programs.

Hours will include a combination of early mornings/days or days/evenings. Six months of documented direct support experience and the ability to obtain and maintain Medication Certification and certifications in First Aid/CPR and SCIP-R. Staff will provide assistance and supervision of the individual's day-to-day activities, socialization, recreation and daily living skills development in both programs.

Direct Support Specialist II - FT, Riverside, M-F 8:30am - 4pm High School Diploma or GED. At least 6 months of Direct Support Specialist experience. Requires a clean valid NY State Driver's License and the ability to maintain an approved copy of a Drivers Abstract from the Department of Motor Vehicles. Provide assistance and supervision of the individual's day-to-day activities, socialization, recreation and daily living skills development.

Hospital Sitters - Per-Diem hours, Lewis and Oneida County. May accept CNA training or a combination of education, training experience. The Hospital Sitter remains with the patient to provide observation and support. The Hospital Sitter provides direct supervision and frequent safety checks on patients identified as high risk for safety issues such as elopement, choking, falls, wandering, self-injury, confusion, removal of medical supports such as oxygen, IVs, NG tubes, catheters etc. and responds accordingly.

Community Specialist - FT, Oneida Co. AAS degree in Human Services or a related field; or HSD/GED with one year experience or specialized training. Must be able to obtain and maintain certifications including First Aid/CPR, Medication Certification and behavior techniques. Candidate must have a clean, valid NYS driver's license with an acceptable driving abstract. Assist in the implementation of the person's ISP/Habilitation Plan by planning, providing, and documenting community integration experiences utilizing as many community based resources and supports as appropriate to the plan. Staff will assist in providing direct care, training and supervision to the extent required.

Mentor - FT, Oneida Co, HSD/GED and one year experience in working with persons with developmental disabilities, or in an educational setting, or a Heath Care Facility. A clean valid NY State driver's license with an acceptable driver's abstract. Assist in the implementation of the persons ISP/Day Habilitiation plan by providing direct care, training and supervision to the extent required by utilizing as many community supports and resources as appropriate to the plan.

Habilitation Specialist II - FT, afternoons/evenings, (Clinton, Rome, Camden, North Bay) Prefer experience with individuals with developmental disabilities or specialized training in related field. The staff member is responsible to provide individuals with developmental disabilities with training and supervision to the extent required by their Individual Services Plan (ISP). This training and supervision will take place in whatever setting is deemed appropriate under the guidelines of the plan which has been developed with the individual. Schedule includes time traveled and mileage reimbursement.

Habilitation Specialist II - Oneida Co, FT, PT, and Per-Diem. Prefer experience with individuals with developmental disabilities or specialized training in related field. The staff member is responsible to provide individuals with developmental disabilities with training and supervision to the extent required by their Individual Services Plan (ISP). This training and supervision will take place in whatever setting is deemed appropriate under the guidelines of the plan which has been developed with the individual.

Respite Specialist - FT, Oneida County, Community/Arnold Ave, Mon-Fri 2:15 - 10:00 PM. The Respite Specialist will provide respite for family members of individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities. This respite service will take place in the community. Staff will demonstrate professional conduct to include compassion, dignity, and respect when interacting with the people we support, other staff and family.

Respite Specialist - FT - Oneida County, Respite Care Home Fri 1:30 - 9:30PM, Sat 8:00AM - 9:30PM, Sun 8:00AM-9:30PM. The Respite Specialist will provide respite for family members of individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities. Staff will demonstrate professional conduct to include compassion, dignity, and respect when interacting with the people we support, other staff and family.

Respite Specialist - Awake Overnight - PT (24 hrs) - Oneida County, Respite Care Home, (9PM-9AM) Fri PM - Sat AM, Sat PM - Sun AM. The Respite Specialist will provide respite for family members of individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities. Staff will demonstrate professional conduct to include compassion, dignity, and respect when interacting with the people we support, other staff and family.

CW Resident Assistant - FT and Per-Diem, Utica. High School Diploma/GED and one year experience working with people with disabilities. Overall responsibility for the health and safety of the individuals in the College Works residence and for maintaining the physical and social operation of the residence. Also responsible for providing the individuals who live in the residence with training and supervision to the extent required by their ISP.

Community Development Specialist - FT, Oneida Co., Mon-Fri. HSD/GED and 3-5 years of experience in community development, administration or management, communications or business is preferred. Experience with Microsoft Office, excellent written and oral communication skills. Must possess a clean valid NY State Driver's license with an acceptable abstract. Ability to interact with various publics and a diverse workforce, and work effectively as a team. Ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate special projects. Provide administrative support to the Community Development department in conjunction with the department director and other staff. Perform data entry using Excel and DonorPerfect (fundraising software). Exhibit judgement on organization and prioritization of work load. Works independently, interacts with various publics and performs a variety of tasks related to special projects, public relations and communications.

Quality Manager - Oneida Co, Residential Services, FT, Flexible schedule to include evenings and weekends. HSD/GED and documented experience in a residential setting. A clean valid NYS Driver's License with an acceptable driving abstract. Staff will be expected to drive site to site in an agency vehicle. Staff will ensure the effective and efficient operation of the systems within residential services program in the areas of physical plant, vehicle maintenance, fiscal monitoring and benefit coordination, to monitor and maintain these areas in accordance with agency standards and budgetary guidelines. Ability to work independently and function as a team member.

Associates Degree

Community Specialist - FT Southern Region - Riverside, M-F 8:30am - 4pm. Associate Degree in Human Services or a related field; or a High School Diploma/GED with specialized training, or year of experience in working with persons with developmental disabilities, or in an educational setting or in a health care facility preferred. Must be able to be trained in first aid, CPR, Medication Administration and behavior techniques. Must have a valid NYS driver's license and an approved copy of a Driver's Abstract from the Dept of Motor Vehicles. Assists in the implementation of the person's Individual Plan of Services/Day Habilitation Plan by planning, providing and documenting community integration experiences utilizing as many community based resources and supports as appropriate to the plan; assists in providing direct care, training and supervision to the extent required.

Agency Investigator - FT, M-F, Southern Region - Oneida County. Associates degree and two years experience in a field of human services, criminal justice, social work or related field or Licensed Registered Nurse. Knowledge and experience in §624 regulations, NYS Justice Center regulations, and Jonathan's Law. Knowledge and experience in intellectual and developmental disabilities. Responsible for conducting investigations of alleged abuse, violations of rights and/or mistreatment of children and adults with intellectual disabilities; may also be required to assist in the investigation of matters related to compliance.

Systems Manager - FT, M-F 8:30am - 4pm, 245 Genesee St. AAS Degree in Office Management, IT, or related field plus two years of experience working in a Human Services Direct Support role or High School Diploma with specialized training or knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite to include database management plus 3-4 years of experience in a Human Services Direct Support Role. To ensure the effective and efficient systems in Residential Services to include but not limited to new hire and ongoing training, incident report tracking, site visits. Role model and instruct newly hired DSPs by working along side them when they are initially placed at a residential site.

House Manager - FT Northern Region - Glenfield. Associate's Degree and one to two years experience working with the developmentally disabled. High school diploma and three to five years experience working with the developmentally disabled. One year experience working as a Residence Manager. Specialized training may be substituted for one year. Overall responsibility for the health and safety of the people we support, responsible for the effective and efficient physical and social operation of the residence and responsible for the development of positive relationships with staff, neighbors, local businesses and other service providers. Follows the principles outlined in the Agency's Core Values and Mission Statement.

Floating Community Facilitator - Rome-Choices. FT, Days. AAS degree in Human Services and one year experience with Individuals with developmental disabilities or HSD/GED and a minimum of five years experience. Must be able to obtain and maintain in First Aid/CPR, Medication Administration, and Behavioral Interventions as based on program needs. Must be able to transfer and position the people we support and manipulate equipment such as wheelchairs and special lifts. Assist in the implementation of the persons ISP/Day Habilitation and Prevocational plan by providing direct care, training and workshop supervision to the extent required by utilizing as many community and site based resources as supports as appropriate to the plan.

Bachelor Degree

Development Associate - Oneida Co. FT, Monday-Friday with a Flexible schedule. Requires a Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business Management or a related field and 3-4 years experience in a non-profit fundraising/development. Requires a clean valid NYS drivers license with an acceptable driving record. Under the direction of the Director of Development and Public Relations, conceives, coordinates, plans, and executes initiatives in the areas of patron relations, fund raising and special events for the Arc Oneida-Lewis Chapter and the Arc Foundation.

Employment Specialist II - FT, Oneida Co, Flexible schedule to include nights and weekends. Requires a Bachelors degree and one year experience with people with disabilities, or an Associates degree and two years experience, or a High School Diploma/GED and three years experience. Must have a clean valid NY State Drivers license, a personal vehicle and the willingness to transport self and individuals if needed. Responsible for the provision of employment supports to the people we support to help them identify and meet their vocational needs, maximizing their independence and utilizing all of the resources in the community available to them.

ISS/FSS Coordinator - Oneida County, Flexible schedule may include evenings/weekends. A Bachelors Degree in Human Services or a related field from an accredited college and 1 to 2 years experience working with persons with developmental disabilities, or an Associates Degree in Human Services and a minimum of 3 to 4 years experience working with persons with developmental disabilities. Must be computer literate and experience in working with Microsoft Word, Office and Excel and with managing a large database. Valid NYS Drivers License with acceptable driving record. The ISS/FSS Coordinator will work with Community Respite Programs Manager to manage the Individual Support Services and Family Support Services programs. Will demonstrate professional conduct to include compassion, dignity, and respect when interacting with other staff, family and individuals.

Assistant Director of Residential Services - FT, Oneida Co., Mon-Fri with additional hours to meet program needs. Requires a BS in Human Services, Education, or related fields, or certification which meets the QIDP guidelines and five years experience with people with developmental disabilities, three must be in a supervisory capacity. Or AAS in Human Services field and eight years of experience, three with a supervisory experience. A clean valid NY State Drivers license is required. Under the guidance and direction of the Director of Residential Services; Assist in planning, directing and coordinating of all activities within the department; ensure that the established goals and objectives of the agency and the department are accomplished; Recommend and assist in the formation of the department goals and objectives; serve as an integral member of the residential management team.

School to Work Coordinator/Stride Instructor - FT, Oneida Co., Mon-Fri, 8am-3:30pm. Bachelor's degree with one year experience, or an Associates degree with two years of experience in the field of education, human services, or a related field. Requires a valid NYS driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Staff will provide services to students with disabilities to improve their outcomes after high school and assist with a positive transition from high school to adult life. Such services may include but are not limited to: developing plans for work life skills training and experiences based on the students Individualized Education Plan (IEP) and personal goals.

Licensed

Registered Nurse - FT, day hours, Oneida Co. NYS licensure with specialized training or one year experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities. Valid NYS Drivers license with an acceptable drivers abstract. Ensure the supervision and provision of nursing services to the people we support at the program sites. Responsible for the implementation of medical policies and procedures with assigned site in accordance with the Arc and OPWDD regulations.

LPN - Residential - FT. Oneida Co, Flexible schedule to meet program needs. NYS LPN license and a clean valid NY State driver's license with an acceptable driving abstract. To assist the Residential Services Registered Nurse/Program Coordinator in providing the day to day oversight and health care for the people we support in Residential Services. Follow the Agency's Core Values and Mission Statements.

LPN - Day Habilitation - FT, Oneida Co/Rome, Mon - Fri, Days. NYS LPN license and a clean valid NY State Driver's License with an acceptable driving abstract. The Agency's Core Values and Mission Statements. To assist the Program Director and Program RN in the provision of nursing services to the people we support at the program sites.

Speech Language Pathologist - FT, Days, Oneida County. Master's Degree in Speech Therapy or Speech Pathology, Permanent Certification as a Teacher of the Speach and Hearing Handicapped. One year experience in the evaluation and treatment of children with communication disorders in the Birth to School-Aged population. Valid NYS driver's license. To provide intervention and evaluation of speech and language disorders to those children who are identified in need of speech therapy services. Provide direct speech therapy intervention to those children who are assigned to clinician's caseload. Evaluates and completes annual evaluations.
