Residential Managers/Counselors – Full and Part time, Oneida and Lewis Counties, Variety of shifts including early mornings, evenings, split shifts (AM & PM), awake-overnights and weekends/holidays. Staff will ensure the health and safety of the people we support including personal care and assist in the effective and efficient physical and social operation of the residence during their assigned hours. Requires a High School diploma/GED, and a valid NYS driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Respite Specialist – Respite Care Home, FT, Utica. Fri 1:30p – 9:30p, Sat and Sun 8am – 9:30pm. High School diploma/GED. Must possess a valid NYS driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. The Respite Specialist will provide respite for family members of individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities. This respite service may take place in the community or at a site-based program. Will demonstrate professional conduct to include compassion, dignity, and respect when interacting with other staff, family and individuals.
Community Specialist – FT, days, Marcy. Associate Degree in human services or related field preferred, or High School Diploma or G.E.D. with specialized training, or year of experience in working with persons with developmental disabilities, or in an educational setting, or in a health care facility. Valid NYS drivers license. Assists in the implementation of the person’s ISP/Day Habilitation Plan by planning, providing and documenting community integration experiences utilizing as many community based resources and supports as appropriate to the plan; assists in providing direct care, training and supervision to the extent required.
Floating Workshop Supervisor – FT, days, Utica. High school diploma/GED. High school diploma/GED. One year supervisory experience or one year factory experience. Clean NYS driver’s license. Provide floor supervision to a particular work area directly supervising the people we support with developmental disabilities.
Day Habilitation Specialist I – FT, days, Utica. H.S. diploma/GED and valid NYS drivers license. Ensures implementation of the person’s ISP/Day Habilitation Plan by providing direct care, training, and supervision to the extent required by utilizing as many community based resources and supports as appropriate to the plan
Shipping and Receiving Clerk/Back-up Truck Driver – FT, days, Utica. High school diploma or GED. Class A CDL license. 1-3 year experience in shipping/receiving. 1+ yrs exp commercial driving preferred. This position will be responsible for setting the schedule of Workshop truck drivers, coordinating all shipping and receiving activities within the Agency, maintaining a clean and orderly physical plant within the Shipping and Receiving Room and coordinate off site storage to maximize accountability and efficiency of goods storage. Back up responsibilities of the Class A CDL Truck Driver which is responsible for the transport, driving and delivery of the product assigned to the specific contracts as well as the material movement associated with the product being delivered.
Quality Manager – FT, Oneida Co. HS diploma/GED with documented experience in the field of Residential Services. A clean, valid NYS driver’s license is also required. Staff will ensure the effective and efficient operation of systems within the Residential Program in the areas of physical plant, vehicle maintenance, fiscal monitoring and benefit coordination, to monitor and maintain these areas in accordance with agency standards and budgetary guidelines.
Administrative Assistant – Employment Solutions – FT, days, Utica. HS diploma 1 year experience in administrative assistant and/or office management. Proven proficiency in Microsoft Works, Office, Access and Excel. Responsible for all administrative documentation and inter office communication within the Employment Services Unit of Vocational Services in the North and South. Acts as the coordinator of communication and data collection in Oneida County and as liaison to Lewis County. Handles daily business functions of the placement programs, including working cooperatively with outside businesses, other Human Service Agencies and other divisions within The Arc. Must be fluent in the use of computer business software, including Microsoft Works, Office, Excel and Access. Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Requires the ability to work independently and to prioritize the input of statistical data. Must be able to maintain confidentiality, both of consumer information and identity and staff personnel issues.
Staff Development Instructor – FT, days,. Bachelors degree in Human Services, 1 year of experience in the MR/DD field to include prior experience and a basic understanding of compliance principles and valid NYS drivers license. The Staff Development Instructor will provide instruction to staff throughout the agency under the direction of the Education & Training Director. This person is responsible for conducting parts of the orientation to The Arc as well as specific subject areas as needed.
(2) Employment Specialist- FT, flexible schedule, Oneida Co.. Bachelor’s degree required and one year experience in vocational rehabilitation program. Must have acceptable driver’s license, personal vehicle. Responsible for the provision of employment supports to individuals with disabilities to help them identify and meet their vocational needs, maximizing their independence and utilizing all of the resources in the community available to them. Service Coordinator - FT, Oneida Co., flexible schedule. Bachelor’s degree in health or human services to include a practicum or internship in assessments and service plan development. Valid NYS drivers license. Service Coordinator will work with an individual with developmental disabilities and his/her family to promote the capacity of those involved to identify their needs and to procure resources in a manner that will enable them to acquire competency to rely on their own resources and abilities.
CC/HIPAA Privacy Officer – FT, flexible schedule. Bachelor’s degree in human services or Registered Nurse. Experience in Health Services and/or Quality Assurance. Knowledge and experience in information privacy laws, access, release of information, and release control technologies. Under the direction and guidance of the Chief Executive Officer and Governing Board, this position will be primarily responsible for overseeing and managing regulatory compliance issues as they relate to The Arc, Oneida-Lewis Chapter. Responsibilities include leading Agency compliance efforts, designing and implementing internal controls, policies and procedures to assure compliance with applicable local, state and federal laws and regulations, and third party guidelines; managing audits and investigations into regulatory and compliance issues and responding to requests for information from regulatory bodies.
CFS Service Liaison- FT, days, Lewis Co. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program in a human services field or professional licensure which qualifies for QIDP status. One year experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities and specialized training. The Service Liaison will have the responsibility to oversee the clinical needs and services of the Community Habilitation and In-Home Respite programs. Responsibilities include completing and reviewing assessments, plan development and implementation, and direct care as necessary.
2 CFS Service Liaison - FT, days, Oneida Co. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program in a human services field or professional licensure which qualifies for QIDP status. One year experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities and specialized training. Residential Registered Nurse- FT, flexible schedule, Oneida County. NYS State Licensure as an RN or BSN. Valid NYS drivers license. Provide the day to day oversight of health care for individuals in the residential program. Responsible for the implementation of medical policies and procedures within the program and in accordance with agency and OMRDD policies.
Day Services Registered Nurse – FT, days, Utica and Kirkland. NYS licensure as registered professional nurse. Specialized training or one year experience in working with persons with developmental disabilities preferred. Valid NYS drivers license. To ensure the supervision and provision of nursing services to the people we support at program site.
Registered Nurse – Employment Solutions and Day Services – PT, 18-25 day hours, Rome. NYS State Licensure as an RN or BSN. Valid NYS drivers license. Some experience with the developmentally disabled is preferred To ensure the supervision and provision of nursing services to the people we support at program site.
