Office Manager – Full Time M-F 8:30am – 4pm. High School diploma/GED, 1 yr experience as an administrative assistant and/or office manager. Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel. Responsibility to work in conjustion with the Clinical Services Manager as well as the other CFS managers and the Director of CFS to ensure the efficient and smooth operation of the CFS program in the South. Responsibilities include working with the public, taking referrals, scheduling therapy appointments and competently completing daily and monthly billing reports.
Residential Managers/Counselors – Full and Part time, Oneida and Lewis Counties, Variety of shifts including early mornings, evenings, split shifts (AM & PM), awake-overnights and weekends/holidays. Staff will ensure the health and safety of the people we support including personal care and assist in the effective and efficient physical and social operation of the residence during their assigned hours. Requires a High School diploma/GED, and a valid NYS driver’s license with an acceptable driving abstract.
Awake Overnight Shift Supervisor– Oneida Co. FT, Float Thurs-Sun, 10:30PM – 7:30AM, High School Diploma/GED and three years of experience as a Direct Support Professional, Residence Manager or equivalent experience; Valid New York State Drivers License with an approved Drivers Abstract. Under direction of the Assistant Director of Residential Services ensures the Residence Counselors or other Direct Support Professionals on the awake overnight shift are trained and working in accordance to their job descriptions to include site specific awake overnight responsibilities.
Direct Support Professional – FT/PT, Oneida Co, Shared positions with Residential and Day Services. HSD/GED and six months of documented direct care experience with individuals with developmental disabilities, clean, valid NYS drivers license. Provide assistance and supervision of the individual’s day-to-day activities, socialization, recreation and daily living skills development.
Day Habilitation Specialist I- FT, Utica Mon-Fri 8:30am-4pm, High School Diploma/GED and a valid NYS driver’s license with an acceptable driving abstract. Staff will assist in the implementation of the person’s ISP/Day Habilitation plan by providing direct care, training, and supervision to the extent required by utilizing as many community based resources and supports as appropriate to the plan.
Respite Specialist – FT- R, Oneida County. Community/Arnold Ave. M-F, 2:15 – 10pm The Respite Specialist will provide respite for family members of individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities. This respite service will take place in the community. Staff will demonstrate professional conduct to include compassion, dignity, and respect when interacting with the people we support, other staff and family. Requires a High School diploma/GED, and a valid NYS driver’s license with an acceptable driving abstract.
CW Resident Assistant – FT, Mon and Fri 1:30pm – 9pm, Wed 1pm – 3pm, Sat and Sun 11am – 8p. High School Diploma/GED, a minimum of 1 yr. documented experience with the DD population. Valid NYS drivers license. Staff is responsible for the health and safety of the individuals in the residence and for maintaining the physical and social operation of the residence. Also responsible for providing the individuals who live in the residence with training and supervision to the extent required by their ISP.
Habilitation Specialist – Per-Diem, Oneida and Lewis Counties, High School Diploma/GED and experience with individuals with developmental disabilities or specialized training in related field, and a clean valid NY State driver’s license with an acceptable drivers abstract. The staff member is responsible to provide individuals with developmental disabilities with training and supervision to the extent required by their Individual Services Plan (ISP). This training and supervision will take place in whatever setting is deemed appropriate under the guidelines of the plan, which has been developed with the individual.
Maintenance Mechanic – FT, Oneida County, Valid drivers license, high school diploma and two to four years experience in the building trade field. Thorough working knowledge of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, welding, masonry, painting and roofing fields. Implement day to day maintenance/basic renovation of the agency’s buildings and production equipment. Maintain all the physical requirements for the agency’s buildings, equipment scheduling and project layout.
Transportation Coordinator – PT, flexible schedule, Lewis County. Class D Driver’s License and Acceptable driving record. Must be able to work a flexible schedule. High School Diploma/GED. Coordinate the provision of transportation to individuals who qualify to and from Supported Employment sites in the community
Billing/Compliance Assistant – FT, days, Utica. Associates Degree or high school diploma and equivalent knowledge and experience necessary to perform duties related to the position. Proven proficiency in Microsoft Works, Office Access and Excel. Responsible for all administrative documentation and inter-office communication within the Vocational Services Program, in both Oneida and Lewis Counties. Coordinates the documentation and billing mechanisms, to insure the Medicaid billing units of service correlates with income generated. Monitors the internal documentation of service delivery and maintains compliance standards as required by Medicaid and New York State funding sources
Agency Investigator II - FT, Flexible Schedule. Associates degree & two (2) years experience in a field of human services, criminal justice, social work or related field or Licensed Registered Nurse. Knowledge and experience in 624 regulations, NYS Justice Center regulations, and Jonathan’s Law. Knowledge and experience in intellectual and developmental disabilities. Responsible for conducting investigations of alleged abuse, violations of rights and/or mistreatment of children and adults with intellectual disabilities; May also be required to assist in the investigation of matters related to compliance.
Lead Agency Investigator- FT, flexible schedule. Associates degree & four (4) years experience in a field of human services, criminal justice, social work, or related field or Licensed Registered Nurse. Specialized training in Investigative Reviews preferred. Responsible for conducting investigations of alleged abuse, violations of rights and/or mistreatment of children and adults with intellectual disabilities; May also be required to assist in the investigation of matters related to compliance.
Employment Specialist – FT, Oneida County, flexible schedule. Bachelor’s degree required and one year experience in vocational rehabilitation program. Must have acceptable driver’s license, personal vehicle and willingness to transport self and consumers, if needed. Responsible for the provision of employment supports to individuals with disabilities to help them identify and meet their vocational needs, maximizing their independence and utilizing all of the resources in the community available to them.
Service Liaison – FT, Rome. Bachelors degree in Human Services, and one year experience in DD field, QIDP status. Valid NYS state drivers license with an acceptable driving record. Ensures and provides oversight for the integration and implementation of all services for each individual in a Day Services program.
Guardianship Coordinator – FT, Oneida County, Bachelors Degree in Human Services field from an accredited college or any combination equivalent to education and experience that provides the required knowledge and skills. 3 years previous experience working with the developmentally disabled. Must be computer literate and experienced in working with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and a large database. Valid NYS driver’s license. Carry out the responsibilities of the Guardianship Manual of The Arc, Oneida-Lewis Chapter, NYSARC, and provide training to Arc employees and the community, in matters relating to guardianship. Will demonstrate professional conduct to include compassion, dignity, and respect when interacting with other staff, family and individuals.
Vocational Rehabilitation Coordinator – Lewis Co, BA in Human Services or a related field or Licensed as a RN. Thorough understanding of sheltered workshop performance criteria. Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Must posses valid NYS drivers license with an acceptable driving record. To provide treatment coordination to consumers referred to the Clinic and the Sheltered Workshop. To provide rehabilitation services to consumers in the Sheltered Workshop. Provides Service Coordination to consumers and their collateral. To provide clinical rehabilitation services requiring knowledge of current rehabilitation trends and methods. Must be able to maintain consumer confidentiality and work within the program setting independently and as a team member. PENDING
Service Coordinator – FT, Lewis County and Oneida County, flexible schedule. Bachelor’s degree in health or human services. Valid NYS drivers license. To work with an individual with developmental disabilities and his/her family to promote the capacity of those involved to identify their needs and to procure resources in a manner that will enable them to acquire competency to rely on their own resources and abilities.
Program Coordinator- FT, Oneida County varied schedule to meet program needs. Bachelors Degree in the field of education, or Human Services or related fields, or certification which meets the QIDP guidelines, plus 1 year experience OR an Associates Degree and 3 years related supervisory experience OR a High School diploma and 5 years experience in the running of an IRA required. Overall responsible for the health and safety of the people we support, responsible for the effective and efficient physical and social operation of the residences and responsible for the development of the positive relationships with neighbors, local businesses, and other service providers. Follows the principles outlined in the Agency’s Core Values and Mission Statements.
Speech Language Pathologist – FT, days, Oneida County. Master’s Degree in Speech Therapy or Speech Pathology, Permanent Certification as a Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped. One year experience in the evaluation and treatment of children with communication disorders in the Birth to School-Aged population. Valid NYS drivers license. To provide intervention and evaluation of speech and language disorders to those children who are identified in need of speech therapy services. Provides direct speech therapy intervention to those children who are assigned to clinician’s caseload. Evaluates and completes annual evaluations.
Registered Nurse- FT, Oneida County (Rome Area). Valid, current license as a Registered Nurse (RN or BSN) within New York State; Specialized training or one year experience in working with persons with intellectual/developmental disabilities preferred. Must have a valid NYS drivers license and an acceptable driving abstract. Provide day to day oversight and coordination of health care for people who reside with The Arc. Responsible for the implementation of medical policies and procedures within programs and in accordance with agency and OPWDD regulations.
