Entry Level

Residential Managers/Counselors – Full and Part time, Oneida and Lewis Counties, Variety of shifts including early mornings, evenings, split shifts (AM & PM), awake-overnights and weekends/holidays. Staff will ensure the health and safety of the people we support including personal care and assist in the effective and efficient physical and social operation of the residence during their assigned hours.  Requires a High School diploma/GED, and a valid NYS driver’s license with an acceptable driving abstract.

On Call SupervisorLewis County, FT, Sat 3pm – Tues 3:30pm. High School Diploma; One year experience as a Direct Support Professional, Residence Manager or equivalent experience; valid New York State Drivers License. Under direction of the Assistant Director of Residential Services ensures the Residence Counselors or other Direct Support Professionals on all shifts are trained and working in accordance to their job descriptions to include site specific responsibilities; to assure appropriate coverage on all shifts, schedule replacement staff; provide supervision and guidance to all Residence Counselors and Residence Managers.

Awake Overnight Shift Supervisor– Lewis Co. High School Diploma/GED and three years of experience as a Direct Support Professional, Residence Manager or equivalent experience; Valid New York State Drivers License with an approved Drivers Abstract. Under direction of the Assistant Director of Residential Services ensures the Residence Counselors or other Direct Support Professionals on the awake overnight shift are trained and working in accordance to their job descriptions to include site specific awake overnight responsibilities.

Per Diem Respite Specialist – relief, Oneida County. Community/Arnold Ave. M-F 4pm – 10pm The Respite Specialist will provide respite for family members of individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities.  This respite service will take place in the community. Staff will demonstrate professional conduct to include compassion, dignity, and respect when interacting with other staff, family and individuals. Requires a High School diploma/GED, and a valid NYS driver’s license with an acceptable driving abstract.

Respite Specialist – FT, Utica, Respite Care Home. Fri 1:30 – 9:30pm, Sat and Sun 8am – 9:30pm. High school diploma/GED.. The Respite Specialist will provide respite for family members of individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities.  This respite service is based at a site-based program.  Staff will demonstrate professional conduct to include compassion, dignity, and respect when interacting with other staff, family and individuals. Requires a High School diploma/GED, and a valid NYS driver’s license with an acceptable driving abstract.

Habilitation Specialist 1 – Part Time, Oneida and Lewis Counties, High school diploma/GED. Requires a valid NYS driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. Responsible for the learning experiences and supervision of persons with intellectual/developmental disabilities.  Will demonstrate professional conduct to include compassion, dignity, and respect when interacting with other staff, family and people we serve.

Habilitation Specialist II – Part Time, Oneida and Lewis Counties, High School Diploma/GED, a minimum of 1 yr. documented experience with the DD population or 6 months experience and specialized training in related fields that meet the distinct needs of the individuals.  A clean valid NY State driver’s license. The staff member is responsible to provide individuals with developmental disabilities with training and supervision to the extent required by their Individual Services Plan (ISP).  This training and supervision will take place in whatever setting is deemed appropriate under the guidelines of the plan, which has been developed with the individual.

Sr. Waiver Specialist (CFS) FT – flexible schedule. High School diploma or GED, minimum of 1 year documented experience with individuals with developmental disabilities or 6 months experience with specialized training in working with individuals with intellectual and developmental. Valid NYS Drivers License. The Senior Waiver Specialist will provide services to individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities including Autism Spectrum Disorders.  Staff may work individually (1:1) at an individual’s home; or with groups of children, teens or adults; at program sites or in the community without direct supervision. Will demonstrate professional conduct to include compassion, dignity, and respect when interacting with other staff, family and individuals.

Day Habilitation Specialist I – FT, days, Turin. H.S. diploma/GED and requires a valid NYS driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.  Ensures implementation of the person’s ISP/Day Habilitation Plan by providing direct care, training, and supervision to the extent required by utilizing as many community based resources and supports as appropriate to the plan.

Day Habilitation Specialist I – FT, Temporary, days, Rome. H.S. diploma/GED and requires a valid NYS driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. Ensures implementation of the person’s ISP/Day Habilitation Plan by providing direct care, training, and supervision to the extent required by utilizing as many community based resources and supports as appropriate to the plan

Direct Support Specialist – FT, days, Turin/Lowville.  H.S. diploma/GED and requires a valid NYS driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. At least 6 months of Direct Support Professional experience Provide assistance and supervision of the individual’s day-to-day activities, socialization, recreation and daily living skills development.

Day Habilitation Specialist I – FT, days, Utica/AA – B. H.S. diploma/GED and requires a valid NYS driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.  Ensures implementation of the person’s ISP/Day Habilitation Plan by providing direct care, training, and supervision to the extent required by utilizing as many community based resources and supports as appropriate to the plan

(2) Day Habilitation Specialist I – FT, days, Marcy. H.S. diploma/GED and requires a valid NYS driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.  Ensures implementation of the person’s ISP/Day Habilitation Plan by providing direct care, training, and supervision to the extent required by utilizing as many community based resources and supports as appropriate to the plan. 1-PENDING

Day Habilitation Specialist 1 Float – FT, days, Oneida County. H.S. diploma/GED and requires a valid NYS driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. Assists in the implementation of the person’s ISP/Day Habilitation Plan by providing direct care, training, and supervision to the extent required by utilizing as many community based resources and supports as appropriate to the plan.

Mentor – Mentor – FT, days. Venture, Kirkland. High School Diploma or G.E.D. with one year of experience in working with persons with developmental disabilities, or in an educational setting, or in a health care facility. Requirement of a high school diploma/G.E.D. may by waived in lieu of N.Y.S. Dept. of Health licensure as a Certified Nurses Aide (CNA), or comparable training or experience that correlates with the functions of this position. Valid NYS driver’s license.  Assists in the implementation of the person’s ISP/Day Habilitation Plan by providing direct care, training, and supervision to the extent required by utilizing as many community based resources and supports as appropriate to the plan.

Community Specialist – FT, days, Utica. High School Diploma/GED. with specialized training, or a year of experience in working with persons with developmental disabilities, or in an educational setting, or in a health care facility or an Associate Degree in Human Services or related field. Must posses a valid NYS driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. Assists in the implementation of the person’s ISP/Day Habilitation Plan by planning, providing and documenting community integration experiences utilizing as many community based resources and supports as appropriate to the plan; assists in providing direct care, training and supervision to the extent required.

Sr. Office Clerk – FT, days, Utica. High School Diploma, 2 years related experience or AS degree and 1 year experience. Computer and calculator skills a must. Must be familiar with spreadsheets and word processing. This position requires versatility of skills and the ability to perform duties across all accounting functions within the Financial Management department. Work varies from daily clerical to more complex office functions that require an understanding of regulations, office rules, procedures and policies and specific routines followed by the departments in Financial Management.  The ability to be accurate, multi-task and promote good communication is key in achieving desired results. This position also assists Senior Financial Management positions as required. PENDING

HR Assistant – FT days, Utica.  HSD/GED and specialized training or experience with computer software applications and data processing and one year experience in Human Resources or business office environment.  To act as the main receptionist for the department and work in conjunction with HR staff to ensure the efficient and smooth operation of the department.  Ability to work independently with moderately difficult clerical work with an understanding of the rules, procedures and policies of the agency. Proficient use of business software including Microsoft Office, HR ABRA database and hardware including OPWDD fingerprinting.

Floor Care Specialist – FT, High School Diploma/GED.  M- F 3:30- 11pm .3 years experience in floor stripping and waxing. Ensure routine floor maintenance of all commercial sites within agency.


Associate Degree

Community Integration Facilitator – FT, days, Rome, Associates Degree in Human Services, 1 yr exp in DD field. Valid NYS drivers license. Assists with the implementation of the person’s ISP/Day Habilitation Plan by providing direct care, training and supervision to an extent required by utilizing as many community based resources and supports as appropriate to the plan.

HR Recruiter – FT days, Oneida and Lewis Co. AAS in Business, Public or Personnel administration and three years experience in recruitment, screening, interviewing and selecting candidates for employment. A valid, clean, NY state Drivers license.  Candidate will travel to off-sites for recruitment, job fairs and to maintain productive relationships with DOL, Education and training, local college placement offices.  Candidate will travel to Lewis Co to assist the North Region Coordinator with similar duties. Staff will assist in the recruitment of Interns and volunteers.


Bachelor Degree

Work Life Skills Instructor – FT – Rome MVCC Campus  Provide individuals with disabilities with academic instruction, training and supervision to the extent required by their Individualized Service Plan (ISP) or Vocational Program Plan. Responsibilities include development and implementation of college based classroom instruction for work life skill development for students enrolled with the College Works Program at MVCC. Must be able to demonstrate accurate and up to date documentation of records per program and governing regulations. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field and one year of experience in working with persons with developmental disabilities preferred, a clean, valid NY State Drivers License..

Clinical Supervisor – FT, Oneida County, flexible schedule. Bachelors degree in Human Services 1-3 yrs exp in DD field, valid NYS drivers license. Responsible for the health and safety of the people we support, responsible for the effective and efficient clinical and social operation of the residences and responsible for the development of the positive relationships with neighbors, local businesses, and other service providers. Oversees and supervises the staff with the implementation of residential habilitation plans. Follows the principles outlined in the Agency’s Core Values and Mission Statements.

CFS Service Liaison FT, Oneida County, days – varies as needed, Bachelors degree in human services field or professional licensure which qualifies for QIDP status. One year experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities and specialized training. Valid NYS drivers license. The Service Liaison will have the responsibility to oversee the clinical needs and services of the Community Habilitation and In-Home Respite programs.  Responsibilities include completing and reviewing assessments, plan development and implementation, and direct care as necessary.

Employment Specialist  – FT, Oneida County, flexible schedule.  Bachelor’s degree required and one year experience in vocational rehabilitation program.  Must have acceptable driver’s license, personal vehicle and willingness to transport self and consumers, if needed. Responsible for the provision of employment supports to individuals with disabilities to help them identify and meet their vocational needs, maximizing their independence and utilizing all of the resources in the community available to them.

Mental Health Program Coordinator –FT, Oneida County, Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services and 1 year exp working directly with people diagnosed with serious mental illness. Or Associates Degree in Human Services, 5 years experience. Must have valid NYS driver’s license.Responsible for the provision of employment supports to individuals with disabilities to help them identify and meet their vocational needs, maximizing their independence and utilizing all of the resources in the community available to them. Must be able to work effectively with the general public. Caseload will consist primarily of people with serious mental illness.  Requires the ability to work independently and to make informed decisions in the best interest of the people we support in them program.

Special Education TeacherRelief hours, Oneida County Masters Degree in Special Education and Permanent New York State Certification as a Special Education Teacher. One year of experience in the evaluation and treatment of children with learning disorders and delays in the Birth to School-Aged population. To provide evaluation of and intervention for learning disorders and delays to those children who are identified to be in need of special instruction services. Will demonstrate professional conduct to include compassion, dignity, and respect when interacting with other staff, family and individuals. BA in Human Services or a related field or Licensed as a RN. Thorough understanding of sheltered workshop performance criteria. Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Must posses valid NYS drivers license with an acceptable driving record.

Vocational Rehabilitation Coordinator – Lewis Co, BA in Human Services or a related field or Licensed as a RN. Thorough understanding of sheltered workshop performance criteria. Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Must posses valid NYS drivers license with an acceptable driving record.  To provide treatment coordination to consumers referred to the Clinic and the Sheltered Workshop. To provide rehabilitation services to consumers in the Sheltered Workshop. Provides Service Coordination to consumers and their collateral. To provide clinical rehabilitation services requiring knowledge of current rehabilitation trends and methods. Must be able to maintain consumer confidentiality and work within the program setting independently and as a team member.

School to Work Coordinator – Oneida Co, Bachelor’s degree with one year or an Associates degree with two years of experience in the field of education, human services, or a related field,. Valid NYS drivers license with an acceptable driving record.. Provide students referred to Foundations/Life after High School with classroom based instruction, community based experiences and supervision, as recommended in their Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) of those referred. Responsibilities include developing, revising and delivering work life skills and employability skills on a college campus. Must communicate effectively with school districts, families and employers, colleges and other community worksites incorporated into the program.
