Entry Level Positions - Require a High School Diploma/GED and a clean valid NY State Drivers Licence with an acceptable drivers abstract. The positions may require a full range of body motion with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Floating Workshop Supervisor - Full Time Full Benefits Arnold Ave M-F 8:30am - 4pm. High school diploma/GED. One year supervisory experience or one year factory experience. Clean NYS driver's license. The floor supervisor of a particular work/training area directly supervising the program participants for work performance and Prevocational reinforcement and non-handicapped relief workers assigned to them. This position is similar to that of a foreman in an industrial setting. The person is responsible for supervising production of designated amounts of work in a designated time periods. S/he is also the first line problem solver for people we support assigned to the work area.

Habilitation Specialist II - FT 35 Hours vary per individual's need. Full benefits, Oneida County. High School Diploma/GED, a minimum of 1 year documented experience with the DD population or 6 months experience and specialized training in related fields that meet the distinct needs of the individuals. A clean valid NY State driver's license and an approved copy of a driver's abstract from the Department of Motor Vehicles must be available. The staff member is hired to provide individuals with developmental disabilities with training and supervision to the extent required by their Individual Service Plan (ISP). This training and/or supervision will take place in whatever setting is deemed appropriate under the guidelines of the plan, which as been developed with the individual. All employees of The Arc Oneida-Lewis Chapter are expected to follow agency and program policies and procedures.

Direct Support Specialist I - Full Time Arnold Ave/RS Sites M-F 8:30am - 4pm. High School Diploma/GED. Specific training or certification (CNA, HHA), or experience with the population preferred. May require a clean valid NY State Drivers License with an approved copy of a Driver's Abstract from the Department of Motor Vehicles. Provide assistance and supervision of the individual's day-to-day activities, socialization, recreation, and daily living skills development.

Quality Manager - Full Time, Northern Region - Hours will vary to meet the needs of the program. Documented experience in the field of Residential Services. A minimum of a high school diploma. A valid NYS driver's license. To ensure the effective and efficient operation of systems within the Residential Program in the areas of physical plant, vehicle maintenance, fiscal monitoring and benefit coordination, to monitor and maintain these areas in accordance with agency standards and budgetary guidelines.

College Works Resident Assistant - High School Diploma or G.E.D. One year full-time experience working with people with disabilities. Valid driver's license and required Agency driver's training necessary to operate an Angency driver's training necessary to operate an Agency vehicle. Overall responsibility for the health and safety of the individuals in the residence and for maintaining the physical and social operation of the residence. Also responsible for providing the individuals who live in the residence with training and supervision to the extent required by their ISP.

Provide assistance and supervision of the individual's day-to-day activities, socialization, recreation and daily living skills development.

Direct Support Specialist I - Fill Time, Fine Arc/RS Sites Specific training or certification (CNA, HHA), or experience with the population preferred. May require a clean valid NY State Drivers Licence with an approved copy of a Drivers Abstract from the Department of Motor Vehicles. Provide assistance and supervision of the individual's day-to-day activities, socialization, recreation and daily living skills development.

Residential Managers/Counselors - Full and Part time, Oneida and Lewis Counties, Variety of shifts including early mornings, evenings, split shifts (AM & PM), awake-overnights and weekends/holidays. Staff will ensure the health and safety of the peole we support including personal care and assist in the effective and efficient physical and social operation of the residence during their assigned hours.

Day Habilitation Specialist II - FT, Rome, day hours. Associate Degree in human services or related field preferred, or High School Diploma or GED with specialized training, or year of experience in working with persons with deelopmental disabilities, or in an educational setting, or in a health care facility, and a valid NYS driver's licence with an acceptable driving abstract. Staff will assist in the implementation of the person's ISP/Day Habilitation plan by providing direct care, training, and supervision to the extent required by utilizing as much community based resources and supports as appropriate to their plan.

Direct Support Specialist I - Oneida & Lewis Counties, FT Shared positions in Residential Services and Day Services programs for specific programs & houses. Hours will include a combination of early mornings/days or days/evenings. Specific training (CNA, HHA) or some experience preferred, and the ability to obtain First Aid/CPR and SCIP-R certifications. Medication Certification may be required pending program needs. Staff will provide assistance and supervision of the individual’s day-to-day activities, socialization, recreation and daily living skills development in both programs.

Direct Support Specialist II – Oneida & Lewis Counties., FT Shared positions in Residential Services and Day Services programs for specific programs & houses. Hours will include a combination of early mornings/days or days/evenings. Six months of documented direct support experience, and the ability to obtain and maintain Medication Certification and certifications in First Aid/CPR and SCIP-R. Staff will provide assistance and supervision of the individual’s day-to-day activities, socialization, recreation and daily living skills development in both programs.

Habilitation Specialist - FT, afternoons/evenings, (Clinton, Rome, Camden, NorthBay) Prefer experience with individuals with developmental disabilities or specialized training in related field. The staff member is responsible to provide individuals with developmental disabilities with training and supervision to the extent required by their Individual Services Plan (ISP). This training and supervision will take place in whatever setting is deemed appropriate under the guidelines of the plan which has been developed with the individual. Includes time traveled and mileage reimbursement.

Habilitation Specialist – FT, PT and per-diem hours in Oneida & Lewis Counties. Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities or specialized training in related field. The staff member is responsible to provide individuals with developmental disabilities with training and supervision to the extent required by their Individual Services Plan (ISP). This training and supervision will take place in whatever setting is deemed appropriate under the guidelines of the plan which has been developed with the individual.

Respite Specialist – FT- Oneida County. Community/Arnold Ave. M-F, 2:15–10:00 PM. The Respite Specialist will provide respite for family members of individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities. This respite service will take place in the community. Staff will demonstrate professional conduct to include compassion, dignity, and respect when interacting with the people we support, other staff and family.

CW Resident Assistant - Per Diem, Utica, High School Diploma or GED. One year full-time experience working with people with disabilities. Valid driver’s license and required Agency driver’s training necessary to operate an Agency vehicle. Overall responsibility for the health and safety of the individuals in the residence and for maintaining the physical and social operation of the residence. Also responsible for providing the individuals who live in the residence with training and supervision to the extent required by their ISP.

Floating Workshop Supervisor - Lowville, FT, days. High school diploma/GED. One year supervisory experience or one year factory experience. Is the floor supervisor of a particular work/training area directly supervising the PWS for work performance and Prevocational reinforcement and non-handicapped relief workers assigned to them.

Community Specialist - Full Time, Southern Region, Associate Degree in Human Services or related or High school diploma/GED with specialized training or year of experience in working with persons with developmental disabilities, or in an educational setting or in a health care facility preferred. Must be able to be trained in the first aid, CPR, Medication Administration and behavior techniques. Must have a valid NYS driver's license and an approved copy of a Driver's Abstract from the Dept of Motor Vehicles. Assists in the implementation of the person's Individual Plan of Services/Day Habilitation Plan by planning, providing and documenting community integration experiences utilizing as many community based resources and supports as appropriate to the plan; assists in providing direct care, training and supervision to the extent required.

Systems Manager - Oneida County, Full Time, 8:30am - 4pm AAS Degree in Office Management, IT, or related field plus two years of experience working in a Human Services Direct Support role or High School Diploma with specialized training or knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite to include database management plus 3-4 years of experience in a Human Services Direct Support Role. To Ensure the effective and efficient systems in Residential Services to include but not limited to new hire and ongoing training, incident report tracking, site visits. Role model and instruct newly hired DSPs by working along side them when they are initially placed at a residential site.

Agency Investigator - FT, Flexible Schedule Oneida County. Associates Degree & two (2) years experience in a field of human services, criminal justice, social work or related field or Licensed Registered Nurse. Knowledge and experience in §624 regulations, NYS Justice Center regulations, and Jonathan's Law. Knowledge and experience in intellectual and developmental disabilities. Responsible for conducting investigations of alleged abuse, violations of rights and/or mistreatment of children and adults with intellectual disabilities; may also be required to assist in the investigation of matters related to compliance.

Guardianship Coordinator - Full Time, full benefits Oneida County. Bachelors Degree in Human Services field from an accredited college or any combination equivalent to education and experience that provides the required knowledge and skills. Three years previous experience working with the developmentally disabled. Must be computer literate and experienced in working with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and a large database. Valid NYS driver's license. Carry out the responsibilities of the Guardianship Manual of The Arc, Oneida-Lewis Chapter, NYSARC, and provide training to Arc employees and the community, in matters relating to guardianship. Will demonstrate professional conduct to include compassion, dignity, and respect when interacting with other staff, family and individuals.

School to Work Coordinator/Stride Instructor - Full Time, M-F 8am - 3:30pm, Oneida County Bachelor's degree with one year or an Associates degree with two years of experience in the field of education, human services, or a related field. Valid NYS drivers license. Provide services to students with disabilities to improve their outcomes after high school and assist with a positive transition from high school to adult life. Such services may include but are not limited to: developing plans for work life skills training and experiences based on the students Individualized Education Plan (IEP) and personal goals.

Employment Specialist - FT, Flexible Schedule Oneida County. Bachelor's Degree and minimum of one year experience working with people with disabilities; or Associates Degree and a minimum of two years experience working with people with disabilities; or High School Diploma and a minimum of three years experience working with people with disabilities. Must have acceptable driver's license, personal vehicle and willingness to transport self and consumers, if needed. Responsible for the provision of employment supports to individuals with disabilities to help them identify and meet their vocational needs, maximizing their independence and utilizing all of the resources in the community available to them.

Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor - FT, Arnold Ave Utica NY Bachelor's degree in a Human Services 2 years experience working with people with disabilities, Associate's Degree with 3 years experience or HSD with 5 years experience. Responsible for provision of employment supports to people with disabilities. Such services include clinical rehabilitation evaluations, assessments, and counseling as needed to assist people we support identify and meet their vocational goals.

Assistant Director Residential - Full Time, Lewis County, M-F with additional hours to meet the Program needs. Bachelors Degree in the field of Education, Psychology, Human Services or related fields, or certification which meets the QIDP guidelines. Five years experience in the field of developmental disabilities, three of which must be in a supervisory capacity. Valid NYS Driver's license. Under the guidance and direction of the Deputy Director: assist in planning, directing, and coordinating of all activities within the Division; ensure that the established goals and objectives of the agency and the division are accomplished; recommend and assist in the formulation of the Divisions Goals and Objectives; service as an integral member of the Residential Management Team.

Employment Specialist – FT, Oneida flexible schedule. Bachelor’s degree required and one year experience in vocational rehabilitation program. Bachelor's Degree, minimum of 1 year experience working with people with disabilities; or Associates Degree, minimum of 2 years experience working with people with disabilities; or High School Diploma, minimum of 3 years experience working with people with disabilities. Must have a clean valid NY State driver’s license with an approved drivers abstract, a personal vehicle, and a willingness to transport self and consumers, if needed. Responsible for the provision of employment supports to individuals with disabilities to help them identify and meet their vocational needs, maximizing their independence and utilizing all of the resources in the community available to them.

Program Manager - FT, Lewis County, flexible schedule. Bachelor’s degree in Human Services and 1 yr. experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities (QIDP status), or Bachelor's degree in a Human Services and 2 yrs. experience, or an Associate’s degree and 3 yrs. exp, or High school diploma and 5 yrs. exp. Must have a clean valid NY State driver’s license with an approved drivers abstract. Overall responsibility for the health and safety of the individuals, responsible for the efficient physical and social operation of the residence and responsible for the development of positive relationships with neighbors, local businesses and other service providers. Oversee the staff in the implementation of the Individualized Service Plan.

Residential LPN - FT, Flexible schedule to meet program needs. Oneida and Lewis Counties. NYS LPN license and a clean valid NY State driver’s license with an acceptable driving abstract. To assist the Residential Services Registered Nurse/Program Coordinator in providing the day to day oversight and health care for the people we support in Residential Services. Speech Language Pathologist - FT, days, Oneida County. Master’s Degree in Speech Therapy or Speech Pathology, Permanent Certification as a Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped. One year experience in the evaluation and treatment of children with communication disorders in the Birth to School-Aged population. Valid NYS driver’s license. To provide intervention and evaluation of speech and language disorders to those children who are identified in need of speech therapy services. Provide direct speech therapy intervention to those children who are assigned to clinician’s caseload. Evaluates and completes annual evaluations.
