Current Employment Opportunities
Residential Managers/Counselors – Full and Part time, Oneida and Lewis Counties, Variety of shifts including early mornings, evenings, split shifts (AM & PM), awake-overnights and weekends/holidays. Staff will ensure the health and safety of the people we support including personal care and assist in the effective and efficient physical and social operation of the residence during their assigned hours. Requires a High School diploma/GED and a valid NYS driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
(2)Respite Specialist - FT, Utica, M-F 2:15pm – 10pm. High school diploma/GED. Requires a valid NYS driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. The Respite Specialist will provide respite for family members of individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities. This respite service may take place in the community or at a site-based program. Will demonstrate professional conduct to include compassion, dignity, and respect when interacting with other staff, family and individuals.
(2)Community Specialist – FT, days, Utica and Marcy. High School Diploma/GED. with specialized training, or a year of experience in working with persons with developmental disabilities, or in an educational setting, or in a health care facility or an Associate Degree in Human Services or related field. Must posses a valid NYS driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. Assists in the implementation of the person’s ISP/Day Habilitation Plan by planning, providing and documenting community integration experiences utilizing as many community based resources and supports as appropriate to the plan; assists in providing direct care, training and supervision to the extent required.
Day Habilitation Specialist I – FT, days, Marcy. H.S. diploma/GED and requires a valid NYS driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. Ensures implementation of the person’s ISP/Day Habilitation Plan by providing direct care, training, and supervision to the extent required by utilizing as many community based resources and supports as appropriate to the plan
Shipping and Receiving Clerk/Back-up Truck Driver – FT, days, Utica. High school diploma or GED. Class A CDL license . This position will be responsible for setting the schedule of Workshop truck drivers, coordinating all shipping and receiving activities within the Agency, maintaining a clean and orderly physical plant within the Shipping and Receiving Room and coordinate off site storage to maximize accountability and efficiency of goods storage. Back up responsibilities of the Class A CDL Truck Driver which is responsible for the transport, driving and delivery of the product assigned to the specific contracts as well as the material movement associated with the product being delivered.
Driver/Floating Workshop Supervisor – FT, days, Utica/Marcy. Class A CDL license. 1+ yrs exp commercial driving preferred. High School diploma or GED. Primary Responsibility is the transport, driving and delivery of product to assigned contracts. Secondarily is the floor supervisor of a particular work/training area directly supervising the individuals we support for work performance and vocational reinforcement assigned to them. Deliver and pick up items required for Agency production and operation.
(2) Quality Manager – FT, Oneida Co. HS diploma/GED with documented experience in the field of Residential Services. A clean, valid NYS driver’s license is also required. Staff will ensure the effective and efficient operation of systems within the Residential Program in the areas of physical plant, vehicle maintenance, fiscal monitoring and benefit coordination, to monitor and maintain these areas in accordance with agency standards and budgetary guidelines.
Awake Overnight Supervisor – FT, Oneida County, Float- Sun 10:30pm – 7:30am, Mon 10:30pm – 7:30am, Tues 10:30pm – 7:30am, Weds 10:30pm – 7:30am. High School Diploma, 3 years of experience as a Direct Support Professional, Residence Manager or equivalent experience; valid New York State Drivers License.
Under direction of the Associate Director of Residential Services ensures the Residence Counselors or other Direct Support Professionals on the awake overnight shift are trained and working in accordance to their job descriptions to include site specific awake overnight responsibilities.
Clinical Supervisor FT, Lewis County, flexible schedule. Bachelors degree in Human Services, Two (2) years experience working with people who are developmentally disabled. Valid NYS drivers license. Responsible for the health and safety of the people we support, responsible for the effective and efficient clinical and social operation of the residences and responsible for the development of the positive relationships with neighbors, local businesses, and other service providers. Oversees and supervises the staff with the implementation of residential habilitation plans
Employment Specialist- FT, flexible schedule, Oneida Co.. Bachelor’s degree required and one year experience in vocational rehabilitation program. Must have acceptable driver’s license, personal vehicle. Responsible for the provision of employment supports to individuals with disabilities to help them identify and meet their vocational needs, maximizing their independence and utilizing all of the resources in the community available to them.
Staff Development Instructor – FT, days, Bachelors degree in Human Services and 1 yr experience in the OMR/DD field to include basic understanding of compliance principles. Valid clean NYS drivers license. The Staff Development Instructor will provide instruction to staff throughout the agency under the direction of the Education & Training Director. This person is responsible for conducting parts of the orientation to The Arc as well as specific subject areas as needed.
Service Coordinator - FT, Oneida Co., flexible schedule. Bachelor’s degree in health or human services to include a practicum or internship in assessments and service plan development. Valid NYS drivers license. Service Coordinator will work with an individual with developmental disabilities and his/her family to promote the capacity of those involved to identify their needs and to procure resources in a manner that will enable them to acquire competency to rely on their own resources and abilities.
CFS Service Liaison - FT, days, Oneida Co. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program in a human services field or professional licensure which qualifies for QIDP status. One year experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities and specialized training. The Service Liaison will have the responsibility to oversee the clinical needs and services of the Community Habilitation and In-Home Respite programs. Responsibilities include completing and reviewing assessments, plan development and implementation, and direct care as necessary. PENDING
Community Integration Facilitator – FT, days, Rome. Associates Degree in Human Services, 1 yr exp working with individuals with disabilities. Assists with the implementation of the person’s ISP/Day Habilitation Plan by providing direct care, training and supervision to an extent required by utilizing as many community based resources and supports as appropriate to the plan.
Behavior Specialist 1 (BIS) – FT, Oneida County, flexible schedule. Master’s degree in psychology or related field, 5 years experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities, including the development, implementation, and monitoring of behavior support plans and/or providing supervision and training to others in the implementation of behavior support plans. Valid NYS drivers license. Integral member of the Arc’s Clinical Support Team directly responsible for providing assessment of intellectual and emotional capabilities (functional behavior assessments), evaluation of behavioral issues and needs of the people we support, developing and assisting in the implementation of behavior plans, completing required documentation, developing related curriculum, educating all program staff, and participating in related on-site activities.
Registered Nurse – Residential (Oneida County) FT, flexible schedule, Oneida County. NYS State Licensure as an RN or BSN. Valid NYS drivers license. Provide the day to day oversight of health care for individuals in the residential program. Responsible for the implementation of medical policies and procedures within the program and in accordance with agency and OMRDD policies.
Registered Nurse – Day Services (Utica and Kirkland) FT, days,. NYS licensure as registered professional nurse. Specialized training or one year experience in working with persons with developmental disabilities preferred. Valid NYS drivers license. To ensure the supervision and provision of nursing services to the people we support at program site.
Registered Nurse – Employment Solutions and Day Services (Rome) – PT, 18-25 day hours. NYS State Licensure as an RN or BSN. Valid NYS drivers license. Some experience with the developmentally disabled is preferred To ensure the supervision and provision of nursing services to the people we support at program site.
Program LPN – Day Services (Rome) FT, days, Specialized training or one year experience working with persons with developmental disabilities preferred. To assist in the provision of nursing services to the people we support at program site.
Program LPN – Residential (Rome) PT, Sat and Sun 1-6pm, NYS Licensure as an LPN, valid NYS drivers license. Experience working with people with developmental disabilities preferred. To assist the Residential Services Registered Nurse/Program Coordinator in providing the day to day oversight and health care for the people we support in Residential Services.
