Entry Level Positions - Require a High School Diploma/GED and a clean valid NY State Drivers License with an acceptable drivers abstract. The positions may require a full range of body motion with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Direct Support Specialist I - Oneida & Lewis Co, FT and PT positions in Residential Services and Day Services programs. Hours may include a combination of early mornings/days or days/evenings. Specific training (CNA, HHA) or some experience preferred, and the ability to obtain First Aid/CPR and SCIP-R certifications. Medication Certification may be required pending program needs. Staff will provide assistance and supervision of the individual's day-to-day activities, socialization, recreation and daily living skills development in both programs.

Hours will indclude a combination of early mornings/days or days/evenings. Six months of documented direct support experience, and the ability to obtain and maintain Medication Certification and certifications in First Aid/CPR and SCIP-R. Staff will provide assistance and supervision of the individual's day-to-day activities, socialization, recreation and daily living skills development in both programs.

Hospital Sitters - Per-diem hours, Lewis & Oneida County. May accept CNA training or a combination of education, training and experience. The Hospital Sitter remains with the patient to provide observation and support. The Hospital Sitter provides direct supervision and frequent safety checks on patients identified as high risk for safety issues such as elopement, choking, falls, wandering, self-injury, confusion, removal of medical supports such as oxygen, IVs, NG tubes, catheters, etc. and responds accordingly.

Community Specialist - FT, Oneida County. AAS degree in Human Services or a related field; or HSD/GED with one year experience or specialized training. Must be able to obtain and maintain certifications including First Aid/CPR, Medication Certification and behavior techniques. Candidate must have a clean, valid NYS driver's license with an acceptable driving abstract. Assist in the implementation of the person's ISP/Habilitation Plan by planning, providing, and documenting community integration experiences utilizing as many community based resources and supports as appropriate to the plan. Staff will assist in providing direct care, training and supervision to the extent required.

Mentor - FT, Oneida County. HSD/GED and one year experience in working with persons with developmental disabilities, or in an educational setting, or a Health Care Facility. A clean valid NY State Driver's License with an acceptable driver's abstract. Assist in the implementation of the person's ISP/Day Habilitation plan by providing direct care, training and supervision to the extent required by utilizing as many community supports and resources as appropriate to the plan.

Habilitation Specialist II - FT, afternoons/evenings, Clinton, Rome, Camden, North Bay. Prefer experience with individuals with developmental disabilities or specialized training in related field. The staff member is responsible to provide individuals with developmental disabilities with training and supervision to the extent required by their Individual Services Plan (ISP). This training and supervision will take place in whatever setting is deemed appropriate under the guidelines of the plan which has been developed with the individual. Schedule Includes time traveled and mileage reimbursement.

Habilitation Specialist II - Oneida County, FT, PT and Per-Diem. Prefer experience with individuals with developmental disabilities or specialized training in related field. The staff member is responsible to provide individuals with devemopmental disabilities with training and supervision to the extent required by their Individual Services Plan (ISP). This training and supervision will take place in whatever setting is deemed appropriate under the guidelines of the plan which has been developed with the individual.

Respite Specialist - FT, Oneida County, Community/Arnold Ave, Mon-Fri 2:15 - 10:00 PM. The Respite Specialist will provide respite for family members of individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities. This respite service will take place in the community. Staff will demonstrate professional conduct to include compassion, dignity, and respect when interacting with the people we support, other staff, and family.

Respite Specialist - Awake Overnight - PT (24 hours) - Oneida County, Respite Care Home, 9PM - 9AM, Fri PM - Sat AM, Sat PM - Sun AM. The Respite Specialist will provide respite for family members of individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities. Staff will demonstrate professional conduct to include compassion, dignity and respect when interacting with the people we support, other staff and family.

CW Resident Assistant - FT and Per Diem, Utica. High School Diploma/GED and one year experience working with people disabilities. Overall responsibility for the health and safety of the individuals in the College Works residence and for maintaining the physical and social operation of the residence. Also responsible for providing the individuals who live in the residence with training and supervision to the extent required by their ISP.

Office Manager - Oneida County, FT Regular, Community and Family Services. HSD/GED and 1 year experience as an administrative assistant and/or office manager. Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel. Responsible to work with other CFS staff to ensure the efficient and smooth operation of the CFS programs. Responsibilities include working with the public, taking referrals, scheduling appointments, and completing daily and monthly billing reports. Responsible for the maintenance of all files, and all other office procedures. Will demonstrate professional conduct to include compassion, dignity and respect when interacting with families, the people we support and other staff.

Community Development Specialist - FT, Oneida County, Mon-Fri. HSD/GED and 3-5 years of experience in community development, administration or management, communications or business is preferred. Experience with Microsoft Office, excellent written and oral communication skills. Must possess a clean valid NY State Driver's License with an acceptable abstract. Ability to interact with various publics and a diverse workforce, and work effectively as a team. Ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate special projects. Provide administrative support to the Community Development department in conjunction with the department director and other staff. Perform data entry using Excel and DonorPerfect (fundraising software). Exhibit judgement on organization and prioritization of work load. Works independently, interacts with various publics and performs a variety of tasks related to special projects, public relations and communications.

Human Resource Assistant - Oneida County, Full Time, Mon-Fri. HSD/GED and specialized training or experience with Microsoft Office and Data Processing and 1 year experience in Human Resources or Business Office environment. Staff will work in conjunction with other HR staff to ensure the efficient and smooth operation of the department. Requires considerable judgement to work independently toward general results. Moderately difficult clerical work requiring an understanding of rules, procedures, and policies. Must be flexible and skilled enough to accept and handle the varied and numberous personnel tasks of the Agency. Must be able to maintain confidentiality of staff personnel information and issues.

Quality Manager - Oneida County, FT, Flexible schedule to include evenings and weekends. HSD/GED and documented experience in a residential setting. A clean valid NYS Driver's license with an acceptable driving abstract. Staff will be expected to drive site to site in an agency vehicle. Staff will ensure the effective and efficient operation of the systems within Residential Services program in the areas of physical plant, vehicle maintenance, fiscal monitoring and benefit coordination, to monitor and maintain these areas in accordance with agency standards and budgetary guidelines. Ability to work independently and function as a team member.

Floating Workshop Supervisor - Oneida County, FT, Days. High School Diploma/GED and one year supervisory experience or one year factory experience required. Clean valid NYS driver's license with an acceptable drivers abstract. The floor supervisor of a particular work/training area directly supervising the people we support for work performance and prevocational reinforcement, and non-handicapped relief workers assigned to them. This position is similar to that of a foreman in an industrial setting. The person is responsible for supervising production of designated amounts of work in a designated time period.

Associates Degree

Floating Community Facilitator - Rome Choices. FT, days. AAS degree in Human Services and one year experience with Individuals with developmental disabilities or HSD/GED and a minimum of five years experience. Must be able to obtain and maintain in First Aid/CPR, Medication Administration, and Behavioral Interventions as based on program needs. Must be able to transfer and position the people we support and manipulate equipment such as wheelchairs and special lifts. Assist in the implementation of the persons ISP/Day Habilitation and Prevocational plan by providing direct care, training and workshop supervision to the extent required by utilizing as many community and site based resources as supports as appropriate to the plan.

Human Resource Recruiter - Oneida/Lewis County FT with some flexibility. AAS degree with major course work in business, public or personnel administration or a related field and 3 years experience in recruitment, screening, interviewing and selecting candidates for employment. Staff will work in conjunction with other HR staff to ensure the efficient and smooth operation of the department. Requires considerable judgement to work independently toward general results. Moderately difficult clerical work requiring an understanding of rules procedures and policies. Must be flexible and skilled enough to accept and handle the varied and numerous personnel tasks of the agency.

Corporate Compliance/Quality Assurance Specialist - Oneida County, FT days with flexibility to meet program needs. AAS degree with a minimum of one year experience in Human Services; or HSD/GED with a minimum of three years experience in human services. Demonstrate proficiency in computer business software including but not limited to Microsoft Works, Office, Access, and Excel. Requires the ability to access all of the agency facilities, the ability to sit for longs periods of time, and physical ability to lift 20 lbs. Under the general direction of the Corporate compliance/HIPAA Privacy Officer, supports in the operation of the agency compliance and quality assurance/quality improvement systems to ensure efficient and smooth operation within the Corporate Compliance department.

Assistant Director Of Residential Services - Full-time, M-F, Southern Region. Bachelors Degree in the field of Education, Psychology, Human Services or related fields, or certification which meets the QIDP guidelines, Five years experience in the field of developmental disabilities, three of which must be in a supervisory capacity. Associates Degree in a Social Service field and eight years experience in the field of developmental disabilities, three of which are in a supervisory capacity. Certified NYS Licensure in a medical or Health related field and eight years experience in the field of developmental disabilities, three of which are ina supervisory capacity. Valid NYS Driver's License. Under the guidance and direction of the Director of Residential Services: assist in planning, directing and coordinating of all activities within the Division; ensure that the established goals and objectives of the agency and the division are accomplished; recommend and assist in the formulation of the Divisions Goals and Objectives; service as an integral member of the Residential Management Team.

ISS/FSS Coordinator - Oneida County Flexible schedule may include evenings/weekends. A Bachelors Degree in Human Services or a related field from an accredited college and 1 to 2 years experience working with persons with developmental disabilities, or an Associates Degree in Human Services and a minimum of 3 to 4 years experience working with persons with developmental disabilities. Must be computer literate and expedrienced in working with Microsoft Word, Office, Excel and with managing a large database. Valid NYS Drivers License with acceptable driving record. The ISS/FSS Coordinator will work with Community Respite Programs Manager to manage the Individual Support Services and Family Support Services programs. Will demonstrate professional conduct to include compassion, dignity, and respect when interacting with other staff, family and individuals.

Development Associate - Oneida County. FT, Monday-Friday with a Flexible schedule. Requires a Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business Management or a related field and 3-4 years experience in a non-profit fundraising/development. Requires a clean valid NYS drivers license with an acceptable driving record. Under the direction of the Director of Development and Public Relations, conceives, coordinates, plans and executes initiatives in the areas of patron relations, fund raising and special events for the Arc, Oneida-Lewis Chapter, NYSARC and the Arc Foundation.

Employment Specialist - FT, Oneida County, Flexible schedule to include nights and weekends. Requires a Bachelors degree and one year experience with people with disabilities, or an Associates degree and two years experience, or a High School Diploma/GED and three years experience. Must have a clean valid NY State Drivers license, a personal vehicle and the willingness to transport self and individuals if needed. Responsible for the provision of employment supports to the people we support to help them identify and meet their vocational needs, maximizing their independence and utilizing all of the resources in the community available to them.

Program Manager - FT, Flexible schedule to include evenings and weekends. Bachelors degree in Human Services or a related field and one year experience with the DD population, QIDP status, and a clean valid NY State Drivers license. Ability to maintain Medication Certification and other mandatory training.. Overall responsibility for the health and safety of the people we support, the efficient physical and social operation of the residence, and the development of positive relationships with neighbors, local businesses and other service providers. Oversee the staff and the implementation of the persons ISP.

Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor - Lewis Co,FT, days. Requires a BA/BS degre in Human Services and two years experience; an AAS degree and three years experience; HSD/GED and five years experience with the DD population. Requires a clean, valid NYS driver’s license with an acceptable drivers abstract. Responsible for the provision of employment supports to people with disabilities. Such services include clinical rehabilitation evaluations, assesments and counseling as needed to assist people we support identify and meet their vocational goals.

Registered Nurse - FT, day hours, Oneida Co, NYS licensure with specialized training or one year experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities. Valid NYS Drivers license with an acceptable drivers abstract. Ensure the supervision and provision of nursing services to the people we support at the program sites. Responsible for the implementation of medical policies and procedures with assigned site in accordance with the Arc and OPWDD regulations.

Residential LPN - FT, Flexible schedule to meet program needs. Oneida County. NYS LPN license and a clean valid NY State driver’s license with an acceptable driving abstract. To assist the Residential Services Registered Nurse/Program Coordinator in providing the day to day oversight and health care for the people we support in Residential Services. Speech Language Pathologist - FT, days, Oneida County. Master’s Degree in Speech Therapy or Speech Pathology, Permanent Certification as a Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped. One year experience in the evaluation and treatment of children with communication disorders in the Birth to School-Aged population. Valid NYS driver’s license. To provide intervention and evaluation of speech and language disorders to those children who are identified in need of speech therapy services. Provide direct speech therapy intervention to those children who are assigned to clinician’s caseload. Evaluates and completes annual evaluations.
