Residental Managers/Counselors – Full and Part time, Oneida and Lewis Counties, Variety of shifts including early mornings, evenings, split shifts (AM & PM), awake-overnights and weekends/holidays. Staff will ensure the health and safety of the people we support including personal care and assist in the effective and efficient physical and social operation of the residence during their assigned hours. Requires a High School diploma/GED, and a valid NYS driver’s license with an acceptable driving abstract.
Direct Support Specialist – Oneida Co, FT/PT Shared position with Residential Services and Day Services programs for specific programs/houses.. HSD/GED and six months of documented direct support experience, a valid NYS driver’s license with an acceptable driving abstract and the ability to obtain and maintain Medication Certification and FA/CPR certifications.. Provide assistance and supervision of the individual’s day-to-day activities, socialization, recreation and daily living skills development in both programs.
Habilitation Specialist – Per-Diem and part time, Oneida and Lewis Counties, High School Diploma/GED and experience with individuals with developmental disabilities or specialized training in related field, and a clean valid NY State driver’s license with an acceptable drivers abstract. The staff member is responsible to provide individuals with developmental disabilities with training and supervision to the extent required by their Individual Services Plan (ISP). This training and supervision will take place in whatever setting is deemed appropriate under the guidelines of the plan, which has been developed with the individual.
Respite Specialist – FT- Oneida County. Respite Care Home, Weekends (Fri-Sun), HSD/GED, and a valid NYS driver’s license with an acceptable driving abstract. Respite Specialist will provide respite for family members of the people we support. This respite service will take place at the respite residence. Staff will demonstrate professional conduct to include compassion, dignity, and respect when interacting with the people we support, other staff and families.
Respite Specialist – FT- Oneida County. Community/Arnold Ave. M – F, 2:15 – 10pm The Respite Specialist will provide respite for family members of individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities. This respite service will take place in the community. Staff will demonstrate professional conduct to include compassion, dignity, and respect when interacting with the people we support, other staff and family. Requires a High School diploma/GED, and a valid NYS driver’s
Employment Specialist – FT, Oneida County flexible schedule. Bachelor’s degree required and one year experience in vocational rehabilitation program. or Associates Degree and a minimum of two years experience working with people with disabilites; or High School Diploma and a minimum of three years experience working with people with disabilites. Must have valid NYS driver’s license with an acceptable driving abstract, a personal vehicle and willingness to transport self and consumers, if needed. Responsible for the provision of employment supports to individuals with disabilities to help them identify and meet their vocational needs, maximizing their independence and utilizing all of the resources in the community available to them.
Support Broker – FT, Oneida Co, Bachelors Degree in the field of Education, Psychology, Human Services or related fields with 1 yr. exp working with people who are developmentally disabled. Requires a valid NYS drivers license with an acceptable driving record. Assist individuals with developing a self- directed budget and the day to day management of self-directed services. Provides support and training to individuals and their families regarding the ongoing decisions and tasks associated with self direction.
Service Coordinator – FT, Oneida County, flexible schedule. Bachelor’s degree in health or human services. Requires a valid NYS drivers license with an acceptable driving record.. To work with an individual with developmental disabilities and his/her family to promote the capacity of those involved to identify their needs and to procure resources in a manner that will enable them to acquire competency to rely on their own resources and abilities.
Behavior Intervention Specialist I – FT, Oneida County, Days. Master’s Degree in psychology, social work, school psychology, or applied psychology or Board Certification in Behavior analysis (BCBA) and a Master’s degree in Behavior Analysis or field closely related such as clinical/ community psychology or BCBA and NYS Licensed Mental Health Counselor. Documented training in assessment techniques and behavior support plan development (or ability to complete required training) minimum of (5) years of experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities, including the development,implementation, and monitoring of behavior support plans and/or providing supervision and training to others in the implementation of behavior support plans. In addition to the above three pathways have or obtain specialized training in or expereince with FBA techniques and BSP development.OrBachelor’s degree in a Human been employed by agency in OPWDD system in the role of providing behavioral services continuously since 12/31/12 and either working toward an MS/MA in an applied area of Psychology, Social Work, Special Education or completes at least 1 graduate level course in applied health service area of Applied Pyshcology, Social Work, or Special Education.Valid New York State Drivers. License.The BIS I performs a wide range of clinical activities related to the The Arc’s Clinical Support Team. The BIS I is an integral member of the Arc’s Clinical Solutions Team. The BIS I is directly responsible for developing functional behavior assessments and positive behavior support plans for the improved health, safety and quality of life for the people we support. The BIS I is responsible for assisting in the implementation of behavior plans, completing required documentation, developing related curriculum, educating all program staff, and participating in related on-site activities. The BIS I also assists in the training and supervision of BIS II as needed or requested.
Registered Nurse – FT, flexible, Valid NYS license as a Registered Nurse (RN or BSN); Specialized training or one year experience in working with persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred. Must be able to transfer and position people we support and manipulate equipment such as wheelchairs. Valid NYS driver’s license with an acceptable driver’s abstract. To ensure the supervision and provision of nursing services to the people we support at program sites. Responsible for the implementation of medical policies and procedure within assigned sites and in accordance with Arc and OPWDD regulations.
LPN – Residental Services – FT, Tue-Sat, Must hold valid certification as a Licensed Practical Nurse within New York State. Experience working with people with developmental disabilities preferred. Must have the ability to become First Aid and CPR certified and other necessary trainings to assist at the Residence. Must be able to pass medications at Residence. Must have a valid, acceptable NYS driver’s license. To assist the Residential Services Registered Nurse/Program Coordinator in providing the day to day oversight and health care for the people we support in Residential Services. Follows the Agency’s Core Values and Mission statements.
Speech Language Pathologist – FT, days, Oneida County. Master’s Degree in Speech Therapy or Speech Pathology, Permanent Certification as a Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped. One year experience in the evaluation and treatment of children with communication disorders in the Birth to School-Aged population. Valid NYS drivers license. To provide intervention and evaluation of speech and language disorders to those children who are identified in need of speech therapy services. Provides direct speech therapy intervention to those children who are assigned to clinician’s caseload. Evaluates and completes annual evaluations.
