Entry Level

 Respite Specialist (Community Respite- 2 openings)FT, Mon – Fri, 2:15pm – 10pm, Arnold Ave and in the community. High school diploma/GED, Must possess a valid NYS driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.. Minimum 1 yr. documented exp with individuals with developmental disabilities or 6 months experience with specialized training. The Respite Specialist will provide respite for family members of the people we support in the community or at a site-based program.

Respite Specialist (Respite Care Home)FT (35 hrs), Fri (1:30-9:30PM), Sat & Sun (8am–9:30 pm), High School diploma/GED. Must possess a valid NYS driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. One year documented experience with individuals with developmental disabilities, or 6 months experience and specialized training with the population. The Respite Specialist will provide respite to the families of the individuals we support to the extent required by their ISP.

Sr. Supervisor/Truck Driver – FT, days, Lowville. High school diploma/GED and one year supervisory experience, or one year factory experience. Class C CDL. Must possess a valid NYS driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. Is the floor supervisor of a particular work/training area directly supervising the individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities for work performance and Prevocational reinforcement assigned to them.  Deliver and pick up items required for Agency production and operation.

Day Habilitation Specialist I – FLOATER – FT, day hours, Oneida County. High School diploma /GED Must possess a valid NYS driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. Staff will be responsible to travel to the various Day Hab sites (Rome, Utica, Marcy, Kirkland) as program needs require. Assists in the implementation of the person’s ISP/Day Habilitation Plan by providing direct care, training, and supervision to the extent required by utilizing as many community based resources and supports as appropriate to the plan.

Day Habilitation Specialist 1 – FT, day hours, Marcy. High school diploma/GED, Must possess a valid NYS driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. Assists in the implementation of the person’s ISP/Day Habilitation Plan by providing direct care, training, and supervision to the extent required by utilizing as many community based resources and supports as appropriate to the plan.

Day Habilitation Specialist II – FT, day hours, Turin. Associate Degree in Human Services or related field preferred or H.S. diploma or GED with specialized training or year of experience working with developmental disabilities,. Must possess a valid NYS driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. Ensures implementation of the person’s ISP/Day Habilitation Plan by providing direct care, training, and supervision to the extent required by utilizing as many community based resources and supports as appropriate to the plan.

Direct Support Specialist – FT (40 hrs) Mon – Fri, Day Hab (Riverside 10–2) Residential (Utica 2–7).  High School Diploma or GED and 6 months of Direct Support Professional experience.. Must possess a valid NYS driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.  Provide assistance and supervision of the individual’s day-to-day activities, socialization, recreation and daily living skills development.

Residential Managers/Counselors – Full and Part time, Oneida and Lewis Counties, High School diploma/GED. Must possess a valid NYS driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. Variety of shifts including mornings,: evenings, split shifts (AM & PM), overnights and weekends. Staff will ensure the health and safety of the people we serve including personal care and assist in the effective and efficient physical and social operation of the residence during their assigned hours.

Career Assistant- Per-diem, Oneida County.  High School diploma and 3 years of paid work experience. Must possess a valid NYS driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.  Assist in the implementation of the employment goals of individuals in the various school to work, college and employment programs.  Provide support and supervision within the classroom and the community at work sites with an objective of improving employability skills.

Specialized Recreation Aide – Per Diem, Mon, Wed, Fri 2:30-6:00 PM, may vary, Utica (Marcy) – HSD/GED. Prefer a valid NYS driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. Some experience working with children with special needs is helpful.  Provide services to individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities including Autism Spectrum Disorders.  Will work with groups of children and/or teens at program sites with direct supervision.

Floor Care Specialist – FT, 3:30 – 11pm, some weekends. Oneida County. High school diploma/GED. Must possess a valid NYS driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.  3 yrs exp stripping and waxing floors. Ensure routine floor maintenance of all commercial sites within the agency. Work closely with the Custodian Coordinator to perform all necessary duties.

HR Staff Development Assistant – FT, days, Utica. High School diploma and specialized training or experience with computer software applications and data processing.  1year experience in Human Resources or Business Office environment. To work in conjunction with the HR Staffing Coordinator, HR Assistant and the HR Staff Development Specialist to ensure the efficient and smooth operation of the Centralized Hiring application, screening and hiring process.  Demonstrate professional conduct to include compassion, dignity, and respect when interacting with other staff, family, individuals, applicants and candidates.

Associate Degree

 CW Resident Assistant – FT, Utica, 3 days 8am – 4pm, 2 days split shift, may include weekends. Associate Degree in Human Services and 1 yr experience. Must possess a valid NYS driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. Overall responsibility for the health and safety of the individuals in the residence and for maintaining the physical and social operation of the residence. Also responsible for providing the individuals who live in the residence with training and supervision to the extent required by their ISP.

CW Resident AssistantPer-diem, Utica. Associate Degree in Human Services and 1 yr exp. Must possess a valid NYS driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. Overall responsibility for the health and safety of the individuals in the residence and for maintaining the physical and social operation of the residence. Also responsible for providing the individuals who live in the residence with training and supervision to the extent required by their ISP.

Bachelor Degree

 

Employment Specialist – FT, Oneida County, flexible schedule – nights and weekends. Bachelor’s degree required and one year experience in vocational rehabilitation program.  Must possess a valid NYS driver’s license with an acceptable driving record, a personal vehicle and willingness to transport self and consumers, if needed. Responsible for the provision of employment supports to individuals with disabilities to help them identify and meet their vocational needs, maximizing their independence and utilizing all of the resources in the community available to them.    PENDING

Vocational Rehabilitation Coordinator FT, days, Utica. BA degree in Human Services or a related field, or Licensed as a RN.  Thorough understanding of a sheltered workshop performance criteria. Provide treatment coordination to individuals with developmental disabilities referred to the Clinic and the Sheltered Workshop. Provides Service Coordination to individuals and their collateral. To provide clinical rehabilitation services requiring knowledge of current rehabilitation trends and methods. Must be able to maintain consumer confidentiality and work within the program setting independently and as a team member. Must be able to communicate effectively orally, and in writing.  Must possess a valid NYS driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Speech Language Pathologist – FT, day hours, Office setting Utica. Master’s Degree in Speech Therapy or Speech Pathology, Permanent Certification as a Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped.  1 yr exp in the evaluation and treatment of children with communication disorders in the Birth to School-Aged population. To provide intervention and evaluation of speech and language disorders to those children who are identified in need of speech therapy services.  Provides direct speech therapy intervention to those children who are assigned to clinician’s caseload. Evaluates and completes annual evaluations.
