Entry Level Positions - Require a High School Diploma/GED and a clean valid NY State Drivers Licence with an acceptable drivers abstract. The positions may require a full range of body motion with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

College Works Resident Assistant - FT, College Works Kossuth/Gibson - Utica Tues - Sat High School Diploma or G.E.D. One year full time experience working with people with disabilities. Valid driver's license and required Agency driver's training necessary to operate an agency vehicle. Responsible for the health and safety of the individuals in the residence and for maintaining the physical and social operation of the residence. Also responsible for providing the individuals who live in the residence with training and supervision to the extent required by their ISP.

Respite Specialist - PT, Fri and Sat 9pm - 9am, Respite Care Home, Utica. High School Diploma/GED, valid NYS driver's license with clean driving record. Minimum of 1 year documented experience with individuals with developmental disabilities or 6 months experience with specialized training in working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Respite Specialist will provide respite for family members of individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities. This respite service may take place in the community or at a site-based program. Will demonstrate professional conduct to include compassion, dignity, and respect when interacting with other staff, family and individuals.

Mentor - FT, Mon-Fri 8:00am - 3:30pm High School Diploma or GED and a clean valid NYS Driver's License with an acceptable drivers abstract. Prefer some experience in working with persons with developmental disabilities in an educational setting, or in a health care facility. Assists in the implementation of the person's ISP/Day Habilitation Plan by providing direct care, training, and supervision to the extent required by utilizing as many community based resources and supports as appropriate to the plan.

Direct Support Specialist I - FT, Arnold Ave High School Diploma or GED, Specific training or certification (CNA, HHA), or experience with the population preferred. May require a clean valid NY State Drivers License with an approved copy of a Drivers Abstract from the Department of Motor Vehicles. Provide assistance and supervision of the people we support day-to-day activities, socialization, recreation and daily living skills development.

Direct Support Specialist I - Oneida & Lewis Co, FT and PT positions in Residential Services and Day Services programs. Hours may include a combination of early mornings/days or days/evenings. Specific training (CNA, HHA) or some experience preferred, and the ability to obtain First Aid/CPR and SCIP-R certifications. Medication Certification may be required pending program needs. Staff will provide assistance and supervision of the individual’s day-to-day activities, socialization, recreation and daily living skills development in both programs.

Direct Support Specialist I - Per diem, Turin, Mon-Fri 8:30am - 4pm High school diploma/GED. Prefer training or experience in working with persons with developmental disabilities, or in an educational setting or in a health care facility. Clean, valid NYS driver's license with an acceptable drivers abstract. Assists in the implementation of the person's individual plan of services by providing direct care, training, and other support as necessary.

Direct Support Specialist II - Oneida & Lewis Counties, FT and PT positions in Residential Services and Day Services programs. Hours will include a combination of early mornings/days or days/evenings. Six months of documented direct support experience, and the ability to obtain and maintain Medication Certification and certifications in First Aid/CPR and SCIP-R. Staff will provide assistance and supervision of the individual’s day-to-day activities, socialization, recreation and daily living skills development in both programs.

Awake-Overnight Shift Supervisor - Oneida Co., FT, Float Saturday-Wednesday. Requires a HSD/GED and three years experience as a Direct Support Professional, Residence Manager or equivalent experience. Clean valid NYS driver’s abstract with an acceptable driver’s abstract. Under the direction of the Associate Director od residential services ensures the Direct support staff on the overnight shift are trained and working in accordance to their job descriptions to include site specific awake overnight responsibilities.

Community Specialist - FT, Oneida Co. AAS degree in Human Services or a related field; or HSD/GED with one year experience or specialized training. Must be able to obtain and maintain certifications including First aid/CPR, Medication Certification and behavior techniques. Candidate must have a clean, valid NYS driver’s license with an acceptable driving abstract. Assist in the implementation of the person’s ISP/Habilitation Plan by planning, providing, and documenting community integration experiences utilizing as many community based resources and supports as appropriate to the plan. Staff will assist in providing direct care, training and supervision to the extent required.

Habilitation Specialist II - FT, afternoons/evenings, (Clinton, Rome, Camden, North Bay) Prefer experience with individuals with developmental disabilities or specialized training in related field. The staff member is responsible to provide individuals with developmental disabilities with training and supervision to the extent required by their Individual Services Plan (ISP). This training and supervision will take place in whatever setting is deemed appropriate under the guidelines of the plan which has been developed with the individual. Includes time traveled and mileage reimbursement.

Habilitation Specialist II - Oneida Co, FT, PT and per-diem. Prefer experience with individuals with developmental disabilities or specialized training in related field. The staff member is responsible to provide individuals with developmental disabilities with training and supervision to the extent required by their Individual Services Plan (ISP). This training and supervision will take place in whatever setting is deemed appropriate under the guidelines of the plan which has been developed with the individual.

Respite Specialist - FT- Oneida County, Community/Arnold Ave, Mon-Fri, 2:15–10:00 PM. The Respite Specialist will provide respite for family members of individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities. This respite service will take place in the community. Staff will demonstrate professional conduct to include compassion, dignity, and respect when interacting with the people we support, other staff and family.

CW Resident Assistant - Per-diem, Utica, High School Diploma/GED and one year experience working with people with disabilities. Overall responsibility for the health and safety of the individuals in the College Works residence and for maintaining the physical and social operation of the residence. Also responsible for providing the individuals who live in the residence with training and supervision to the extent required by their ISP.

Floating Workshop Supervisor - FT, days, Utica. High school diploma/GED. One year supervisory experience or one year factory experience. Clean NYS driver’s license. The floor supervisor of a particular work/training area directly supervising the program participants for work performance and Prevocational reinforcement and non-handicapped relief workers assigned to them.

Associates Degree

Community Facilitator - FT, Venture Day Program Mon-Fri 8am-3:30pm Associate Degree in human services or related field preferred or High School Diploma/GED with three years experience in working with persons with developmental disabilities. Clean valid NYS driver's license with an acceptable drivers abstract. Assists in the implementation of the person's ISP/Day Habilitation Plan by planning, providing and documenting community integration experiences utilizing as many community based resources and supports as appropriate to the plan; assists in providing direct care, training and supervision to the extent required.

Corporate Compliance/Quality Assurance Specialist - Oneida Co, FT days with flexibility to meet program needs. AAS degree with an minimum of one year experience in the Human Services; or HSD/GED with a minimum of three years experience in human services. Demonstrate proficiency in computer business software including but not limited to Microsoft Works, Office, Access and Excel. Requires the ability to access all of the agency facilities, the ability to sit for long periods of time and the physical ability to lift 20 lbs. Under the general direction of the Corporate Compliance/HIPAA Privacy Officer, supports in the operation of the agency compliance and quality assurance/quality improvement systems to ensure efficient and smooth operation within the Corporate Compliance department.

Bachelor Degree

Purchasing/Inventory Coordinator - FT, M-F Days, Utica Bachelors degree in related field and 1 year experience or related Associates degree 3 years experience. Working knowledge of computers; spreadsheet and word processing. Assists the Purchasing/Inventory (P/I) Manager by coordinating the agency purchasing and inventory functions. This position requires the ability to work independently towards general results. It also requires a complete understanding of office rules, policies and procedures. Must be flexible and skilled enough to accept and handle the continued growth and reorganization of the agency.

Program Manager Residential - FT, Southern Region Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field and one year experience working with the DD population, QIDP status. A clean valid NYS Driver's License. Overall responsibility for the health and safety of the individuals, responsible for the efficient physical and social operation of the residence and responsible for the efficient physical and social operation of the residence and responsible for the development of positive relationships with neighbors, local businesses and other service providers. Oversee the staff in the implementation of the Individualized Service Plan.

Employment Counselor - FT, Utica Arnold Ave Bachelor's Degree in Human Services and 2 years experience working with people with disabilities or Associate's Degree in Human Services with 3 years experience. Must have a clean valid NYS Driver's License with an acceptable drivers abstract, and the willingness to transport individuals, as needed, to work sites. Must have the ability to work with a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays as needed. Responsible for provision of employment supports to people with disabilities. Such services include clinical rehabilitation evaluations, assessments, and counseling as needed to assist people we support identify and meet their vocational goals.

Assistant Director Residential Services - FT with additional hours to meet the program needs. Bachelors degree in the field of education, Psychology, Human Services or a related field, or certification which meets the QIDP guidelines and five years experience with our DD population; AAS degree in a Human Services field and eight years of experience; Certified NYS licensure in a medical or health related and eight years experience.. Candidate must have three years experience in a supervisory capacity. Position requires a clean valid NYS driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. Under the guidance and direction of the Deputy Director, assist in planning, directing and coordinating of all the activities within the department; ensure that the established goals and objectives of the agency and the department are accomplished; recommend and assist in the formulation of the department goals and objectives; serve as an integral member of the Residential Management Team.

Development Associate - Oneida Co. FT, Monday-Friday with a Flexible schedule. Requires a Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business Management or a related field and 3-4 years experience in a non-profit fundraising/development. Requires a clean valid NYS drivers license with an acceptable driving record. Under the direction of the Director of Development and Public Relations, conceives, coordinates, plans and executes initiatives in the areas of patron relations, fund raining and special events for the Arc, Oneida-Lewis Chapter, NYSARC and the Arc Foundation.

Self Advocacy Facilitator - FT days, Oneida Co. Bachelors degree and 2 yrs. experience in human services; or an AAS degree and 3 years experience with the DD population. Requires a clean, valid, NYS driver’s license with an acceptable driving abstract. Assist tin the development and implementation of each person’s individual choices program through participation within the self-advocacy facilitation groups and recommendations of the psychologist. Develop individualized daily activities which will allow the person the ability to integrate within the community based on their personal choice and self-determination skills.

Guardianship Coordinator - FT Bachelors Degree in Human Services field or any combination equivalent to education and experience that provides the required knowledge and skills and three years experience working with the developmentally disabled. Candidate must be computer literate with experience in working with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and a large database. Requires a clean, valid NYS driver’s license with an approved copy of a NY State Driver’s Abstract. Carry out the responsibilities of the Guardianship Manual of The Arc, Oneida-Lewis Chapter, NYSARC, and provide training to Arc employees and the community, in matters relating to guardianship. Will demonstrate professional conduct to include compassion, dignity, and respect when interacting with other staff, family and individuals. Flexible schedule which may include evenings and weekends, and the willingness to travel to offsite locations.

Service Liaison - FT days, Lewis Co. Bachelors degree in a field of education, human services, social work or related field which meets the qualification for QIDP status. One year documented experience with the DD population. Ensure and provide oversight for the integration and implementation of all services for each person we support.

School to Work/Stride Instructor - FT, days, Oneida County. Provide services to students with disabilities to improve their outcomes after high school and assist with a positive transition from high school to adult life. Such services may include but are not limited to developing plans for work life skills training and experiences based on the students Individualized Education Plan (IEP) and personal goals.

Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor - FT, days Lewis Co. Requires a BA/BS degre in Human Services and two years experience; an AAS degree and three years experience; HSD/GED and five years experience with the DD population. Requires a clean, valid NYS driver’s license with an acceptable drivers abstract. Responsible for the provision of employment supports to people with disabilities. Such services include clinical rehabilitation evaluations, assesments and counseling as needed to assist people we support identify and meet their vocational goals.

Licensed

Registered Nurse - FT, day hours, Oneida Co, NYS licensure with specialized training or one year experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities. Valid NYS Drivers license with an acceptable drivers abstract. Ensure the supervision and provision of nursing services to the people we support at the program sites. Responsible for the implementation of medical policies and procedures with assigned site in accordance with the Arc and OPWDD regulations.

Residential LPN - FT, Flexible schedule to meet program needs. Oneida County. NYS LPN license and a clean valid NY State driver’s license with an acceptable driving abstract. To assist the Residential Services Registered Nurse/Program Coordinator in providing the day to day oversight and health care for the people we support in Residential Services. Follow the Agency’s Core Values and Mission statements.

Speech Language Pathologist - FT, days, Oneida County. Master’s Degree in Speech Therapy or Speech Pathology, Permanent Certification as a Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped. One year experience in the evaluation and treatment of children with communication disorders in the Birth to School-Aged population. Valid NYS driver’s license. To provide intervention and evaluation of speech and language disorders to those children who are identified in need of speech therapy services. Provide direct speech therapy intervention to those children who are assigned to clinician’s caseload. Evaluates and completes annual evaluations.
