Floating Workshop Supervisor – FT, days, Utica. High school diploma/GED. One year supervisory experience or one year factory experience. Clean NYS driver’s license. This position is similar to that of a foreman in an industrial setting. The person is responsible for supervising production of designated amounts of work in a designated time periods. The incumbent serves as the floor supervisor of a particular work area directly supervising the people we support assigned to them.
Residential Managers/Counselors – Full and Part time, Oneida and Lewis Counties, Variety of shifts including early mornings, evenings, split shifts (AM & PM), awake-overnights and weekends/holidays. Staff will ensure the health and safety of the people we support including personal care and assist in the effective and efficient physical and social operation of the residence during their assigned hours. Requires a High School diploma/GED, and a valid NYS driver’s license with an acceptable driving abstract.
Direct Support Specialist – Oneida Co, FT/PT Shared position with Residential Services and Day Services programs for specific programs/houses.. HSD/GED and six months of documented direct support experience, a valid NYS driver’s license with an acceptable driving abstract and the ability to obtain and maintain Medication Certification and FA/CPR certifications.. Provide assistance and supervision of the individual’s day-to-day activities, socialization, recreation and daily living skills development in both programs.
DSP Mentor – FT, Oneida County, 5 days a week. Schedule will vary per program needs. High school diploma or equivalency, valid NYS drivers license with acceptable record, current AMAP, CPR/1st Aid and SCIP certification, and all other necessary training. 3 yrs. DSP experience required. The DSP Mentor has the responsibility to teach and work alongside newly hired DSPs, teaching them the job duties and essential job functions for the care of the people we support.
College Works Resident Assistant – Full Time, Oneida Co, Mon & Fri 1:30pm – 9pm, Wed 1pm – 3pm, Sat and Sun 11am – 8p, High School Diploma or G.E.D. One year experience working with people with disabilities. Valid driver’s license and required Agency driver’s training necessary to operate an Agency vehicle Overall responsibility for the health and safety of the individuals in the residence and for maintaining the physical and social operation of the residence. Also responsible for providing the individuals who live in the residence with training and supervision to the extent required by their ISP.
Respite Specialist – FT- Oneida County. Respite Care Home, Weekends (Fri-Sun), HSD/GED, and a valid NYS driver’s license with an acceptable driving abstract. Respite Specialist will provide respite for family members of the people we support. This respite service will take place at the respite residence. Staff will demonstrate professional conduct to include compassion, dignity, and respect when interacting with the people we support, other staff and families.
Respite Specialist – FT- Oneida County. Community/Arnold Ave. M – F, 2:15 – 10pm The Respite Specialist will provide respite for family members of individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities. This respite service will take place in the community. Staff will demonstrate professional conduct to include compassion, dignity, and respect when interacting with the people we support, other staff and family. Requires a High School diploma/GED, and a valid NYS driver’s licence.
Habilitation Specialist – Per-Diem and part time, Oneida and Lewis Counties, High School Diploma/GED and experience with individuals with developmental disabilities or specialized training in related field, and a clean valid NY State driver’s license with an acceptable drivers abstract. The staff member is responsible to provide individuals with developmental disabilities with training and supervision to the extent required by their Individual Services Plan (ISP). This training and supervision will take place in whatever setting is deemed appropriate under the guidelines of the plan, which has been developed with the individual.
Transportation Coordinator – PT, flexible schedule, Lewis County. Class D Driver’s License and Acceptable driving record. Must be able to work a flexible schedule. High School Diploma/GED. Coordinate the provision of transportation to individuals who qualify to and from Supported Employment sites in the community.
HR Specialist – FT, days, Utica. High School diploma/GED 3-4 yrs experience in HR or Business Office environment include a minimum of 2 yrs benefit exp. Or any equivalent combination of experience and training. Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office programs as well as HRIS software. To work in conjunction with the HR Generalist and Director of HR to ensure the efficient and smooth administration of all staff benefits. Administer HR policies and procedures including, but not limited to, benefits administration and compliance. Processes paperwork and electronic files according to established procedure. Prepares internal employee communications regarding benefits.
Fiscal Intermediary- PT, Flexible, High School diploma or GED and specialized training in related fields that meet the distinct needs of the individuals. A clean, valid, NYS driver’s license and an approved copy of a driver’s abstract from the Department of Motor Vehicles must be available. The Fiscal Intermediary will support a participant who self directs an individualized budget. Such tasks include billing and payment of approved goods and services, fiscal accounting and reporting, Medicaid and corporate compliance, and general administrative supports. The FI is the employer of record for staff hired by the participant. These staff are referred to as “self-hired staff”
CFS Service Liaison – FT, Lewis County. Bachelors in Human Services, 1 yr exp in DD field. QIDP status required. Valid NYS drivers license. Ensures and provides oversight for the integration and implementation of all services for each individual. The Service Liaison will have the responsibility to oversee the clinical needs and services of the Community Habilitation and In-Home Respite programs. Responsibilities include completing and reviewing assessments, plan development and implementation, and direct care as necessary. Clinical Supervisor – FT, flexible schedule, includes nights and weekends. Bachelors Degree in Human Services or related fields, or certification which meets the QIDP guidelines. Two (2) years experience working with people who are developmentally disabled. Responsible for the health and safety of the people we support, responsible for the effective and efficient clinical and social operation of the residences and responsible for the development of the positive relationships with neighbors, local businesses, and other service providers. Oversees and supervises the staff with the implementation of residential habilitation plans.
CC/HIPAA Privacy Officer- FT, Oneida/Lewis Counties. Flexible schedule. BA in Human Services or a Registered Nurse. Experience in Health Services and/or Quality Assurance. Knowledge and experience in information privacy laws, access, release of information, and release control technologies Under the direction and guidance of the Chief Executive Officer and Governing Board, this position will be primarily responsible for overseeing and managing regulatory compliance issues as they relate to The Arc, Oneida-Lewis Chapter. Responsibilities include leading Agency compliance efforts, designing and implementing internal controls, policies and procedures to assure compliance with applicable local, state and federal laws and regulations, and third party guidelines; managing audits and investigations into regulatory and compliance issues and responding to requests for information from regulatory bodies.
Employment Specialist - FT, Oneida County & Lewis Co, flexible schedule. Bachelor’s degree required and one year experience in vocational rehabilitation program. or Associates Degree and a minimum of two years experience working with people with disabilites; or High School Diploma and a minimum of three years experience working with people with disabilities Must have Valid NYS driver’s license with an acceptable driving abstract, a personal vehicle and willingness to transport self and consumers, if needed. Responsible for the provision of employment supports to individuals with disabilities to help them identify and meet their vocational needs, maximizing their independence and utilizing all of the resources in the community available to them.
Service Coordinator – FT, Oneida County, flexible schedule. Bachelor’s degree in health or human services. Valid NYS drivers license. To work with an individual with developmental disabilities and his/her family to promote the capacity of those involved to identify their needs and to procure resources in a manner that will enable them to acquire competency to rely on their own resources and abilities.
CC/Quality Assurance Director - FT, Oneida County M-F Flexible. A 4-year degree from an accredited college or university (QIDP). A minimum of 5 years experience in the field of Human Services. Function as a member of the Residential Services Administrative Team with responsibility for assuring the corporate compliance and quality assurance processes within the division. Requires the ability to work independently with accuracy.
Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor - FT Lowville M-F 8:30am – 4:00. Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services field from an accredited institution of higher learning and three years supervised experience in a New York State certified vocational training program or training deemed appropriate for the position by program administrator. To provide clinical rehabilitation evaluations, assessments, and counseling to consumers to optimize their potential for success in the community. This is a professional position which requires knowledge of current rehabilitation trends and methods.

Speech Language Pathologist – FT, days, Oneida County. Master’s Degree in Speech Therapy or Speech Pathology, Permanent Certification as a Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped. One year experience in the evaluation and treatment of children with communication disorders in the Birth to School-Aged population. Valid NYS drivers license. To provide intervention and evaluation of speech and language disorders to those children who are identified in need of speech therapy services. Provides direct speech therapy intervention to those children who are assigned to clinician’s caseload. Evaluates and completes annual evaluations.
