Children’s Services offers a wide range of recreational and therapeutic services for children of all ages and may be provided in the home, a community setting or at The Arc’s Therapy Play Center.
Therapy Services includes evaluation and treatment in the areas of Occupational, Physical, Speech and Special Education. Therapy intervention is focused on a family centered multi-disciplinary approach to maximize each child’s potential in all areas of development.
Professional support is offered for families to address areas of need and concern in the home. Our monthly Lecture Series, presented by local professionals, is offered on a wide variety of topics to assist parents and other providers who care for children with disabilities.
Socialization groups are a big part of what The Arc offers to children and families. Some of these programs include Saturday Friends, Teen Outreach Peer Socialization (TOPS), After School Connections, Teen Time and Sensory Swim. Reading, Math and After School Learning Programs are also offered.
The Charles B. Wolkon Memorial Day Camp provides children with disabilities and their siblings, a chance to experience summertime fun.
