Help us build a special playgroundA playground will fulfill and build on the physical, social-emotional, and cognitive areas of children between the ages of 5 and 12, not dependant on their physical or developmental abilities.
The playground will be approximately 2,310 square feet. It will contain one large stationary play structure, which allows and encourages use even by a child in a wheel chair. Additional pieces of equipment added around the play structure will add more areas for adventure and fun. All pieces of equipment are accessible from the ground level, making exploration and interactions available to all children at all times.
The play area will also be surrounded by a fence structure helping to keep the area safe. A blacktop slab and basketball hoop will be installed for sports activities, and a seating/picnic area will be available for families to watch and observe.
However, none of this will be possible without your support! We ask that you please give what you can today and help make the dream of an accessible playground come true for children of all abilities.
