Reading, Math and After School Learningsub

Reading Program provides one hour of one-on-one tutoring for students experiencing reading difficulty.

The sessions provide instruction in the areas of phonemic awareness, the alphabetic principle (phonics), decoding, and reading. Activities are incorporated into each session to encourage reading, writing, listening, and speaking for response to literature and for social communication.

Math Program provides one hour of one-on-one tutoring for students experiencing math difficulty.

The sessions provide instruction and activities designed around the individual student in order to support accuracy and fluency of basic facts, key concepts, operations, problem-solving concepts, content knowledge and skill integration.

The After School Learning program provides remediation and extra practice on educational skills being covered in school. Tutors give students 30 minutes to an hour of individual support with homework, organizational skills and they help build confidence with the learning process.

Program for children 8-18 years of age who are OPWDD eligible.

Provided by certified teachers.
