Children's Therapy Servicessub

Home, community, and facility-based Occupational, Physical, and Speech Therapy and Special Education evaluations and treatment for children birth to 18 years of age with developmental and physical disabilities and neurological disorders.

Services are offered through Oneida and Lewis County Early Intervention (birth to 3 years of age) and Preschool Related Service (3 to 5 years of age) programs. Private payment options are available for children over the age of 5 or who do not qualify for the county or school district programs.

Occupational Therapy services address fine motor coordination and visual perceptual skills. Our OT services specialize in the areas of Sensory Integration and Brain Gym®.

Physical Therapy services emphasize the development of gross motor skills (walking, running, jumping, skipping, stair skills, etc.) and balance skills, as well as increasing strength and endurance. Issues with muscle tone are also addressed as indicated.

Speech Therapy services focus on the development of language, cognition (i.e. attention, memory), articulation, voice, and fluency to promote functional communication skills. The use of alternative modes of communication can be implemented if needed. Functional feeding and swallowing skills are also addressed.

Special Instruction services are offered through the Early Intervention and Preschool Related Service programs only. These services address a child’s general development with a focus on cognitive and attention skills.
