Sensory Swim Program -
Utica
The Arc, Oneida-Lewis Chapter, in
conjunction with Oneida County, the City of Utica and
the Utica City School District offers the Sensory Swim Program for
children with special needs.
It provides a wonderful sensory
experience in an aquatic environment, allowing children to
improve their strength and sensory awareness.
The program runs for eight weeks on
Wednesdays from 6:00 - 6:45 p.m. at the Proctor High School
pool, 1203 Hilton Ave., Utica NY 13501. The cost is $25 per child for
the eight week session.
All necessary aquatic safety equipment is provided.
Sensory Swim is facilitated by a trained
Occupational and/or Speech Therapist.
Each child must be accompanied in the
water by a responsible adult. Siblings of the child with
special needs are welcome to participate when accompanied by an
additional adult.
Reservations are required.
