Supporting Families through Education and Consultation

Parents with children with special needs have stressed their desire for a program to provide information regarding overall child development that enables them to deal positively with challenges of day to day life.  These parents have requested assistance in achieving realistic and functional growth for their children. The Arc has developed the Support and Education for Families Program in response to those requests.

This program is two tiered; the first tier provides a monthly lecture series based on parents’ concerns regarding their child’s development.  The second tier is the Enhanced Residential Habilitation program which offers individual consultation services for children with developmental disabilities, to address specific areas of need in the home.
