Community & Family Services Division of The Arc offers habilitation services to individuals who live with their family/caregiver or independently. Services are designed to help strengthen skills and/or achieve satisfying and rewarding connections and relationships.
Habilitation services are provided to individuals in both out-of-home and home-based environments to help with learning or retaining skills and to assist with daily life activities. The goals of the training are set by the individual and designed to help them achieve the specific outcomes that are important to the person.
Habilitation services are part of a plan that is formulated to take advantage of opportunities for independence, integration, individualization and productivity in the community.
