The Arc has been instrumental in initiating collaborations and partnerships with the Oneida County and Lewis County Office for the Aging. We have networked OCOFA to offer a bi-monthly noon meal at our site located in Knoxboro for the general senior population. We have expanded the meal to include a program. Some are educational, others are more recreational in nature. Also, in Lewis County, the same program opportunities are offered for the general population as well as for persons with intellectual and other disabilities. Our hope is to one day have fully integrated programs for our elderly population as we become more and more alike as we age.
