The Arc, Oneida-Lewis Chapter, NYSARC offers
several group day habilitation program options throughout Oneida and
Lewis counties. While each program operates under the same guidelines
and regulations, each offers unique features. Programs vary in size,
ranging from 3 individuals up to 50 as well as vary in focus of
activities and location. The Arc offers programs located within the
city of Utica, Rome, Knoxboro and Turin.

habilitation services are designed to provide individualized
assistance to persons who wish to acquire and maintain life skills that
would enable them to become
and remain a productive member of our community. Individuals shape
their daily activities in accordance with their wants, dreams and
desires.

Inclusion Opportunities
Day
Services programs are committed to offering consumers community based
training, as we believe that this is the best and preferred mode of
skill development.
Educational,
Cultural and Volunteer Experiences
Individua
ls
are involved in volunteer experiences at many community locations as
well as at program sites. The Arc’s Day Services programs promote
community goodwill via
numerous volunteer efforts.
Day
Services also provide
extensive opportunities for individuals to experience the finest
performances in the area as well as trips to local educational
establishments. Educational
and cultural opportunities help consumers expand their social networks
and establish natural supports within the community.
