High School diploma/GED and a minimum of 6 months of documented experience in working with individuals having a developmental disability or a minimum of 2-yr. experience with related populations and valid NYS driver’s license The Direct Support Professional is hired to provide individuals with developmental disabilities with training and supervision to the extent required by their Individual Services Plan (ISP).  This will take place in whatever setting is deemed appropriate under the guidelines of the plan, which has been developed with the individual.
