The Arc offers various vocational opportunities for people with disabilities.

Welcome to Employment Services

Finding a career path can be an overwhelming journey and Arc staff are here to assist you on your way. Your path begins when you meet an Arc Employment Specialist. The Employment Specialist will provide career direction to help you discover your vocational strengths and desires. They will guide you through your job search by assisting you with resume writing, job applications and scheduling interviews. Once you have reached your goal of finding employment, your Employment Specialist will even assist you through the first few days of your job. The specialist will work with you on/off the job site to support you as you become a valuable employee to your new employer.

Programs offered by The Arc, Oneida-Lewis Chapter, NYSARC Inc. are recognized by New York State Office of Vocational and Educational Services for Individuals with Disabilities (VESID), Office of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities (OMRDD) and Office of Mental Health (OMH). The Arc, Oneida Lewis Chapter is a partner in the Working Solutions Utica One Stop Center. We are also active members of the New York State Rehabilitation Association Inc. and the New York State Association of Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services.
