Adults have opportunities to develop their interpersonal skills, gain independence in the community, and, most importantly, build lasting friendships. People supported by The Arc who reside with family or live independently are able to engage in self-directed recreational activities with door-to-door transportation provided by one or more of Community and Family Services’ respite programs. The Arc offers programming for adults interested in theatre performance, line dancing, organized sports, day and overnight trips, and summer day camp. The Respite Care Home offers comfortable accommodations, comprehensive care and community outings. Adults can also work on personal goals at the Stowe Street Day Habilitation site, out in the community or in their homes with the help of dedicated CFS Habilitation Services professionals. Financial support is available for people to maintain independent living.
