Industries / LCI is part of the vocational program operated by the Arc
Oneida-Lewis Chapter, NYSARC.
Progress
Industries / LCI provides vocational rehabilitation services for
approximately 260 individuals with developmental disabilities in Oneida
and Lewis counties.

Industries offers a variety of vocational training programs and services.
Vocational
Services
Vocational
training is provided through a comprehensive array of paid work
opportunities. All vocational areas are selected and designed to provide
meaningful work. Our programs foster independence and personal
satisfaction by assisting participants in developing viable work skills,
vocational abilities, and earning potential.
We offer
Day Training services for those
individuals who lack experience in a work environment or those individuals
who require additional training and supports. The Day Training staff and
counselors concentrate instruction on the necessary work skill
requirements consisting of; appropriate behavior requirements, good work
practices, appropriate lunch and break time behaviors.
Our Rome
Co-Located Vocational Training provides vocational training and work
experience to individuals requiring a significant level of medical and
behavioral support.
Our
rehabilitation services combine functional skills training with
therapeutic goals for individuals with profound, emotional, developmental,
and related challenges.
To accommodate a
range of participant skills and capabilities, our vocational work center
is structured to offer a diversified range of work opportunities utilizing
a combination of work secured through some 45 commercial business
customers combined with service contracts from New York State and the
Federal Government.
Vocational
training work opportunities are provided in the following areas;
