Day Habilitation Specialist I

You will provide assistance and supervision of the individual’s day-to-day activities, socialization, recreation and daily living skills development to improve the individual's quality of life.

Schedule is Monday-Friday 8:30 - 4PM; 35 Hours

Responsibilities:

  • Day to day implementation of assigned person we support’s Individualized Service Plan ( ISP/Day Habilitation Plan) utilizing as many appropriate resources as possible in the community
  • Ensuring supervision of assigned persons at all times
  • Promote and follow person driven choices in independence, individualization, inclusion, and productivity
  • Develop and maintain a positive relationship with the person we support, working with the person and other team members to help determine and achieve valued outcomes for the individuals

Qualifications:

Direct Support Specialist

You will provide assistance and supervision of the individual’s day-to-day activities, socialization, recreation and daily living skills development. Demonstrate the interpersonal skills needed to work with multiple departments simultaneously. Exhibit good judgment skills, involving and concern for, the individuals wellbeing, safety and rights. Willingness to follow directives and supervisory guidance. Ability to interact with co-workers, individuals served, families and the public with emotional maturity, good judgment, tact and courtesy.  Must be able to perform responsibly under indirect supervision.

Schedule is Full Time, Flexible to include nights & weekends. 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for becoming familiar with the individual’s Care Plan/Safeguards and provide any change of information and/or concerns to the program supervisor.
  • Monitor and provide the extent of assistance necessary with activities of daily living, i.e. toileting, eating, ambulation and dressing, including the provision of lifting assistance as needed.
  • Work with people on habilitation allowable services in accordance to established frequencies and adhere to documentation standards.
  • Administer medications (site based only) per NY State and agency policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED with 6 months of Direct Support Professional experience.
  • Ability to provide transportation, driving an agency vehicle and following established policies and procedures regarding the use of agency vehicles.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Medication Certification, CPR and First Aid Certification.
Forklift Operator

In this position you will be responsible to support the building operation through moving, collecting, loading, shipping, and receiving product.  This position is responsible for operating technical equipment specifically forklifts and other powered equipment to support the operation schedule. As a key member of the operations team, the position will also support other warehouse and production functions to meet the customer deadlines. 

Schedule is Monday – Friday, Full Time 

Responsibilities:

  • Operate forklift and powered hand truck to move product throughout operation. 
  • Load and unload trucks, containers and items from pallets, machines, carts, and dollies to  move the product both in and out of the facility
  • Conduct inventory of both raw materials and finished goods in warehouse.
  • Pick, wrap, and stage orders to be shipped. 
  • Adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices, quality and customer service standards. 

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.

Order Fulfillment Coordinator

This is a customer focused and hands-on position. You will be working with current fulfillment customers and ensuring all orders are fulfilled on time accurately. The position is responsible to work with customers through email and phone communication on a daily basis and fulfilling each order from receiving to shipping while maintaining all inventory.

Schedule is Full time, Flexible schedule, which may include evenings and weekends 

Responsibilities:

  • Picking orders, staging orders for shipping
  • Scheduling shipping appointments, replenishment, raw material replenishment

Residence Counselor Awake-Over-Night

Full Time & Part Time; Variable 3 day incremented schedules, sleeping overnights required.

Responsibilities:

  • Assure the maintenance, housekeeping and food preparation duties of the residence in order to provide a clean, neat, healthy and safe environment. Provide oversight and guidance if necessary to the individuals in the completion of household tasks such as laundry, menu preparation, and shopping, cooking, minor maintenance of the house and grounds with the goal of increasing independence.
  • Know the current Individualized Service Plan specific to each individual and follow through with the provision of services as outlined.
  • Review the Daily Notes and House Log since their last shift. Complete or review incident reports and forward to the Program Manager within prescribed time frames. Assure that medication verification is completed per policy during their shift. Follow fiscal accountability procedures and maintain accurate financial records for each individual.

Assists in the implementation of the person’s ISP/Day Habilitation Plan by planning, providing and documenting community integration experiences utilizing as many community based resources and supports as appropriate to the plan; assists in providing direct care, training and supervision to the extent required.

Schedule is Monday-Friday, 35 hours Full Time

Responsibilities:

  • Is responsible for ensuring supervision of assigned individuals at all times.
  • Provide transportation for outings within the community, following established policies and procedures regarding the use of agency vehicles.

You will meet the goals and objectives for the procurement of goods and services for the agency. Perform and maintain the related accounting processes in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). This position supervises the Purchasing/Inventory and Accounts Payable functions in the Financial Management department.

Responsibilities:

  • Researches and analyzes then implements and monitors by supervising aspects of the procurement of goods and services with objectives including cost control, developing and managing supplier relationships, negotiating best price/terms, reducing costs, fulfilling agency requirements, spending wisely while ensuring quality.

Assistant Director of Residential Services [Bachelor's Degree]

In this position you will assist in the planning, directing and coordinating of all activities within the Residential Division. You will ensure that the established goals and objectives of the agency and the division are accomplished. You will need to recommend and assist in the formulation of the Divisions Goals and Objectives and serve as an integral member of the Residential Management Team for the Arc Oneida-Lewis Chapter

The schedule is Monday – Friday, but a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the residential program. Could include nights and weekends and on-call needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Completes all job evaluations for employees under Assistant Director.
  • Responsible for providing support and guidance to the supervisors on-call.
  • Monitors and oversees the purchasing of equipment and supplies; recommends necessary purchases to the Deputy Director assures that necessary resources are available to direct support staff.
  • Provides Deputy Director with all necessary reports and documentation on a timely basis. Assures that the Deputy Director or Director is apprised of all significant occurrences within the Division per agency and OPWDD guidelines.
  • Performs all necessary tasks and duties as determined by the discrete areas of specialization within the Assistant Director Position (i.e. IRA Development, Staff Development, Residential Habilitation, etc.)

You will be responsible for the health and safety of the people we support, responsible for the effective and efficient physical and social operation of the residence and responsible for the development of positive relationships with neighbors, local businesses and other service providers. Schedule is primarily Monday-Friday but flexible to include nights, weekends and on-call needs.

Responsibilities:

In this role you are responsible for the provision of employment supports to individuals with disabilities to help them identify and meet their vocational needs, maximizing their independence and utilizing all of the resources in the community available to them.

Schedule is Monday - Friday but you must be able to work a variable schedule including nights, weekends and holidays ( if needed to help your caseload)

Responsibilities:

  • Assess individuals with varying disabilities to develop and implement an employment plan which will include strategies to overcome barriers to employment and to appropriately match an individual’s interest and abilities to a supported job.
  • Perform job development/job retention activities, as necessary, to include, but not be limited to job assessments, job readiness skills training and work/life skills training. Teach individuals how to access community supports to assist them with childcare, travel training, residential living and securing/receiving supplemental benefits
  • Provide one on one job training and instruction on a job site to develop effective and constructive solutions to the challenges of work. 
  • Maintains that the Employment Plan, Placement Report, Service Notes and all appropriate service documentation on the consumer is compliant with Medicaid, OMRDD, OMH and/or VESID Standards and that services were adequately provided in any billing period.

You will be responsible for the provision of employment supports to people with developmental disabilities in the community to help them identify and meet their vocational needs, maximizing their independence and utilizing all of the resources in the community available to them.

Flexible Schedule to include nights & weekends

Responsibilities:

In this position you will ensure coverage for each residential home in Oneida County as well as the health and safety of people we support. You are responsible for the effective and efficient physical and social operation of each Oneida County residential home.

Schedule is flexible to meet program needs, includes nights and weekend coverage

Responsibilities:

  • Is responsible to develop a weekly coverage sheet identifying all shifts; indicating who is working what shifts and what shifts that are vacant and need to be filled.
  • Complete coverage sheets to pass onto Oneida County Program Managers and Residential Administrative Team at least one week in advance (Monday for the following week). Share coverage sheet once all shifts are filled for the week.
  • Using a list of available staff, is responsible to be the main contact to fill vacant shifts; keeping track of staff who have been contacted for availability of any shifts.
  • With input from the Systems Manager, maintain a request for leave calendar to be utilized to approve time off and ensure adequate coverage at all times.
  • Assists each Program Manager in Oneida County, to monitor and arrange coverage for their assigned homes. Process all coverage requests, in accordance with program minimums and available resources to accommodate these requests.

Qualifications:
