Speakers Bureau

Ruth SpeakingThe Arc Speakers’ Bureau is a free service to local clubs, organizations, businesses and schools in Oneida and Lewis counties who invite speakers for educational and civic purposes. The Speakers’ Bureauwas developed out of our desire to educate the community, to connect with, and become intimately involved in, the communities we serve.

The expertise of The Arc’s professionals, self-advocates and families covers a wide variety of  topics relating to developmental disabilities, programs and services for people with special needs, career opportunities in health and human services, public relations and fundraising for non-profit agencies.

We provide our speakers with training and practice in public speaking skills.  We also supply them with the necessary materials and support for giving an interesting and informative presentation to your group.
