CollegeWorks is a two-year collaborative program between The Arc, Oneida-Lewis Chapter, and Mohawk Valley Community College for people with developmental disabilities who want a genuine college experience.

Students are immersed in classes held on the campuses of MVCC in Utica and Rome. Students also spend a great deal of time skill-building in the community.

CollegeWorks equips students with the skills and confidence to lead fulfilling and productive lives.

Our proven model of success includes:

Inclusive Environment:

  • Immerses students in a college campus setting, fostering a sense of belonging and authentic college experience.

  • Equips students with practical life skills, including budgeting, time management, self-advocacy, and more.

  • Instruction designed to enhance living, social, and vocational skills.

Job Training and Readiness:

  • Provides career exploration in various fields, preparing students for the working world.
