A premier post-secondary program that provides an authentic college experience.
CollegeWorks is a two-year collaborative program between The Arc, Oneida-Lewis Chapter, and Mohawk Valley Community College for people with developmental disabilities who want a genuine college experience.
Students are immersed in classes held on the campuses of MVCC in Utica and Rome. Students also spend a great deal of time skill-building in the community.
CollegeWorks equips students with the skills and confidence to lead fulfilling and productive lives.

Inclusive Environment:

Program Overview
The CollegeWorks program enrolled its first freshmen class in the Utica program in 2005, which became the first graduating class in 2007. In 2010, CollegeWorks expanded to offer the program in Rome. Housing Opportunities
CollegeWorks has a dorm like setting located within walking distance of the Utica MVCC campus and is currently only an option for students in the Utica CollegeWorks program. Applying and Eligibility
CollegeWorks accepts students year-round in both the Utica and Rome programs. ARE THERE TUITION COSTS FOR CollegeWorks? There is no out-of-pocket cost for students and families; however, students must be Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) eligible with Medicaid waiver services and a Care Manager. No private pay options are available at this time.
